"Great place very modern. Lovely restaurants and pools. Bar area overlooking harbour fab. Excellent value for money. While not cheap not the expensive prices you would pay at the other 5* hotels on Langkawi. So nice we are going again in September!"

"It is a really nice hotel for Langkawi on a big patch of land by itself which is close to Eagle Square and the Yacht Club and easy for the boat trip to the Marine Park. It is peaceful and relaxing with 3 different pools, multiple restaurants and a tennis/spa/fitness centre. The service was very professional. It is very quiet so families with young kids that don't want to leave the resort would like it, but not good for those wanting a more vibrant nightlife. The mid-rating is just that Langkawi is not really a true 5* glamour destination so the room is comfortable but a little old and not luxurious or fancy or stylish. Therefore not perfect in the room for romance either. "

"We enjoyed the Westin Langkawi, terrific location and the service and staff were very professional and very attentive! The resort itself seemed a bit tired and needs some superficial attention."

"A very beautiful hotel with wonderful views onto the sea. The hotel is either very new or has been very well renovated. Service was excellent and the restuarants, while not amazing in food quality, did offer decent food with variation in menu between the different restaurants. My only recommendation when booking a room would be to book a sea view or a slightly higher room category. We booked a basic room. The room itself was very nice but our view was of a concrete wall. It would have been worth the extra money in my opinion to get a sea view."

"Overall, I did'nt regret booking westin langkawi though i was hesistating on my decision between westin or casa del mar. I love the cleanliness of the hotel, warm smile and the contemporary deco of the hotel. the hotel simply makes langkawi appear beautiful! I am still misssing those days in westin~! sumptuous breakfast! Heavenly bed and lovely sundeck and sea view!"

"The location is very near to the Jetty but far from Canang Beach which is more popular. The hotel is very well furnished and has got nice pools. The room is spacious, nice and clean. The lobby serves nice drinking water with 3 different flavours which both myself and girlfriend likes very much. Staffs are friendly and receives greetings from them all the time. The only complaint is the check-in time at 3pm and check out at 12noon the next day. We are however given till 1pm for late check out upon request, and its on a weekday. There would be other hotels be happy to offer later check out times when available."

"We stayed at the Westin for 2 weeks in April. On arrival we were offered an upgrade from a garden facing room to an ocean facing room for RM100 per night, there was no automatic upgrade for length of stay etc as you would normally find in places like Thailand. We took the upgrade as the ocean view is worth it. The rooms, although modern, have adjoining doors. Great if you have a family, not so great if you want peace and quiet. We were woken at 6.30am daily with screaming kids and slamming doors and you could hear EVERYTHING from showers running to toilets flushing and the safe opening and closing. After complaining we got moved to a quieter location but would recommend any new arrivers to stipulate you want a quiet room away from kids. Food in the hotel was nice although very western, very little local food and not spicy at all. There is also no change in the menu from lunch to dinner so gets a bit 'samey' after a while. The location was amazing though, very nice views and surroundings and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Langkawi itself is a quiet place and ideal for R&R but not much to do at night outside of the hotel. "
