| "The check in staff were very inefficient and ineffective. Kept asking the same things over and over again. Also very unco-operative with regards to late check out, as if hotel is very full. We took the Junior Suite. How can it be fully occupied to not allow us late check out till 3 pm !!! Plus the facial expression given to us when we made the request was very unfriendly and unappreciative of the fact that we have a young child and that our flight takes off at 6+ pm." |

| "Stayed here in july07. As we arived into the foyer, we were very excited, as it was large & quite magnificient. However, our excitement was short lived when we were taken to our rooms. The double room we booked was like a cheap back packing hostel room. The bathroom was old & dirty. Even though the cleaners came everyday, they couldn't do much with an old delapidated bathroom.
Shouldn't complain about breakfast as there are people starving in the world. However, it was basic & boring.
The best bit about the hotel was the huge swimming pool with slides. However, even this had a downfall as it was dirty & dangerous for kids climbing up to the slides. Attendants were non-existent.
Location was good to batu ferringi & shops " |

| "We stayed in a junior suite which was a nice spacious room with a private balcony and a fantastic view. The buffet breakfasts were included in the room tariff which made it a great 'value for money' hotel ... BUT we will never stay there again unless they get softer beds!! The bed was as hard as a rock and we didn't sleep at all for the 2 nights we were there. We wrote a note to the manager about this when we left so hopefully they will do something about it. We've experienced 'firm' beds all over Asia but never had one as hard as this before (though some have come close). Hotel operators need to realise that some people prefer soft, comfy beds and cater for both so it's up to us all as travellers to let them know. " |

| "This was one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. It was old, dirty, poorly maintained. Our room had flies coming out of the air con vent. We were put on a smoking floor even though we requested for a non smoking one. Never again!" |

| "It was a very bad experience in this hotel, my reservation was for 3 days, it's my first time to see a hotel that has a school in it, the air in this hotel was not healthy & clean, the room was not cleaned well there was some dust spots on the carpet & the bed sheets, also there was a lot of noise due to some constructions work, also the hotel doesn’t have a beach as appearing in the pictures, I compelled to leave the hotel the second day, i don't advice any one to stay in it." |

| "The hotel is quite dated but still ok value for money. Not near much except a beach littered with rubbish. My experience in Penang overall was pretty bad. This hotel is at least 15 minute drive from night markets and town." |

| "My experience of this hotel was not a good one. The hotel on its own leaflets and various 'google'd' websites, lists the following facilities: Swimming Pool (which was adequate), Gym (which was full of old and broken equipment), Sauna (closed for refurbishment), Jacuzzi (closed for refurbishment), Squash (no longer available), Tennis (if you go to another hotel's facilities), Massage (no masseur), Aerobics (no instructor). I found the hotel room run-down and generally felt shabby. When I complained I got a different person each time and had to run through my complaints again and again. I asked to speak to the Hotel Manager or someone from the senior management team and nobody was available. I wrote to the hotel and emailed and never received a response until I contacted the CEO of the hotel group. Having booked a deluxe room I was very dissapointed and let down. I personally cannot recommend this hotel but do recommend that you pay a little bit extra and go to the Holiday Inn, a far superior experience." |
