| "Excellent Hotel! Great staff and very good breakfast. My family and I wanted to try out this hotel just for one night as it is very expensive hotel for us. We wanted to have a taste of this hotel which looks just like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. We had a great view from our suite facing the sea. Beautiful hotel for honey moon couples and senir citizens. Very quiet and very near to the nite life area, especially to the famous Hamid Soup makan shop and clubs. If the price is little bit cheaper I will defintely stay in this hotel very year we come visting. I love Penang food !" |

| "On Arrival, service received at reception was excellent - chilled towels and mocktail welcome drink, as well as being personally accompanied to the suite.
The Suite was amazing! Particularly good were the old colonial features for example- the old style room key, butler call bell and old style phone. This was the perfect balance between themed features and modern service.
Staff at the hotel were exceptionally well mannered, very helpful and extremely friendly. In addition, it was clear that they took an interest in their guests, as the receptionists remembered who we were when we entered the lobby.
Facilities were good - the swimming pool was very clean and the poolside service was excellent, e.g. free water and cold towels, however the pool was somewhat small for the size of the hotel. The bar staff were very friendly, however the quality of the cocktails was inconsistent. The entertainment was limited, as the same band sang the same songs every night. Breakfast was very good - a wide range of choices and the option to take breakfast on the terrace outside.
Taxis from the hotel operate on a set fee basis and dont really offer value for money in comparison to taxis in KL. " |

| "Superb hotel, excellent location, helpful staff overall.
Room and bathroom were superb, out onto lawn, facing sea. Pool was lovely.
Slight disappointment was the live'music' in Farqhers bar and the waiting staff at breakfast were not as friendly as elsewhere in the hotel.
Would definitely go again." |

| "This is the hotel Raffles in Singapore should be! Restored to its former character, not modernised beyond recognition. Allows you to enjoy full modern comforts and convenience while feeling the past glory of the place at every turn. Full marks for service and attention. Good value if booked thru AsiaRooms!" |
