"Room is clean and nicely designed. Location is along the gurney drive, it is close to the eating places and Gurney Plaza (a big shopping mall). Services is gd and staffs are friendly. Only fault is that the buffet breakfast which i only rate 1/5. But overall Evergreen is value for money and i would recommend for ppl who want to enjoy 5 stars hotel service without having spend a lot of money. "

"Very decent business class hotel. Excellent location away from the beaches yet has excellent sea view and seaside walks. Good local food and decent massage parlor just a stone's throw away. Very friendly and efficient staff too. Will definitely return."

"We booked the triple sharing Deluxe Seaview and must say its just PERFECT, except that they do not have connecting room for Deluxe Seaview. The extra bed we required was sent to us less than 10 mins upon request. Very fast services. Staff are friendly, but they need to smile more often instead of waiting for guest to smile to them. Breakfast was good as they change some of the items daily. The beach front is just opposite the hotel, you can either walk along the pavement or sit around to enjoy the sea breeze."

"We were a group of four travellers, 2x40+ and 2x70+, with 2 rooms. This was the first time we have stayed at this hotel and found it to be of great value. Asking for anything was no trouble to the staff. The breakfast had a genorous selection of western and asian food, some not to the heat (oven) requirements of western tastes but hey this is asia. We had Deluxe rooms, we found them to be spacious and very clean. It also had great access to local eateries along Gurney Dr, Coffee Bean and Starbuck's around the corner and I would highly recommend the Curry Kapitan (great naan bread), next to Starbuck's, what more could a seasoned traveller ask for, good lodging, good food and good coffee. A taxi ride in Penang is usually not very far and not very expensive, 10 to 20 Ringgit, so moving around was quite easy and inexpensive to Georgetown central and even the rest of the island."

"Beautiful hotel across the shoreline centrally located in Georgetown. We added a roll-away bed which enabled us to comfotably sleep three in the room. The room was beautifully furnished and had a room safe, mini-refrig., and TV. We were also upgraded from a city-view to an ocean view without charge. The breakfast buffet was very deluxe with Western and Asian entrees and added great value to the room price. Would definitely recommend staying here. "

"Wonderful location, friendly staff, enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Variety of food for breakfast. Ample parking too."

"Very good value for money, given the rate we paid. A large, very clean, room with 5-star appointments. An excellent breakfast with attentive staff and an excellent location on Gurney Drive. We were very happy with the hotel and its staff."

"My wife and I stayed here in a sea view room for 5 nights in April 08. We could not fault the hotel in any way and would definitely stay here again. This hotel has provided the best value for our money during the ten months that we have been travelling. "

"I'm so satisfied with the hotel i have nothing to complain. hotel is grand and indeed value for money. loved the spacious hot and cold indoor jacuzzi pools with proper shower and dressing rooms. Hotel room (805) is clean and spacious, mattress and pillows are so comfy to sleep through the night. Hotel staff is also well mannered and very approachable. "

"The hotel stay was good. But the shopping centres are not near the hotel so got to take transport out to the shopping centres."
