Wonderful hotel and really good service. Staff are polite and attentive. The Rasa Wing with the rooms on the ground floor are just bliss with own little garden that opens onto the extensive grounds with a seaview and a very clean beach. Lots of activities for kids. They have a wonderful brunch on Sat with a kids play area. Also a bonus is that just after the hotel, there is an indoor playground called the Adventure Zone with some amazing slides. It's actually owned by the hotel.
But also for couples there is a separate pool just for adults

| "We have just recentley stayed at the Rasa Sayang Penang! We booked a room in the Garden Wing, but on arrival we were given an upgrade to The Rasa Wing. This was fantastic!!!! to say the least.
The staff were excellent,Concierge,Reception and F & B....my Husband and I have travelled extensively throughout the world and would have to agree the rasa would have to be one of the best places we have been.
The only comment we share is...probably during the afternoon tea or evening cocktail hour...it would have been nice to have some live music e.g. Harpist or soloist light music. The ambience was just a little doomed in this area at times." |

| "Overall, this is a great hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay. Restaurants, the spa and the pool and gardens at the Rasa wing are first class and most enjoyable.
However, its only fair to mention that there are a few less agreeable points to make:
The pool in the garden wing is very much overcrowded at times, particularly with small children.
Secondly, the four wheel beach buggies which constantly drive up and down the beach at high speed and extreme noise, are not only a nuisance but also a severe safety risk for other beach users. I appreciate that this is not under the direct responsibility of the hotel, but surely something can be done about it. " |

| "we went to honeymoon ... It was the best hotel we stayed in. we received nice flowers and fruit basket when we arrived. our room was very nice, sea and pool facing. the view was very nice. we stayed in Penang for 3 nights and we never left the hotel, we spent all our our time in. If i go to Malaysia again, i will consider shangri-la hotels in all cities not only penang. " |
