| "This is absolutely a fantastic place for someone looking for reasonable and comfortable accommodation. Rates are very reasonable. We have travelled in 5 continents and have lived in 3-4 star accommodation at many places. But I can say that this place is one of the best. Excellent customer service, excellent food. Room lighting was not adequate. But we love the sea view from our room and the easy access to the beach and the pool. " |

| "I paid only SGD 44 (about RM 104) per night on AsiaRooms, so my review will be based on the great bargain I got for S$44 per night.
At S$44, I expected a scrumpy old hotel, but nope, I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel entrance looks to be newly renovated and the waiting area looks spacious, breezy and classy.
The Shores Restaurant where I had my breakfast was looks newly renovated as well. Small restaurant but looks modern and clean.
The unpleasant thing was that the lift lobby at Level 3 where I stayed had this strange kid's display of cartoon characters. It looked totally out of place in a hotel and should belong in a kindergarten or kid's hospital ward. I think level 4 and other floors have the same thing too in different designs.
Room was expected - typical room with typical furnishings. Of course, I am not expecting the room to be very clean and new. Only complain was that water at the bath cannot be tuned to WARM, it only can be set to extremely hot or cold.
Service was only average, but for S$44, I don't see a reason to complain.

| "Good location if you want shortly visit Penang for sightseeing and spent short time near sea. Reasonable ratio/cost quality in July 2008. Hotel is under reconstruction now. Not recommended for long stay (more than 2-3 days) and vacations at sea coast. " |
