"During my stay, there was no electricity nor light in the bathroom for several hours during the morning! Nobdy was able to help. When I checked out, there was no light at the reception, and nobody seemed to care. This might be usual at a 1-star hotel, but this hotel calls itself 5-star and that's not true."

"Parking fee not included. Check in was really fast. Check out was terribly slow."

"We came to Mexico City for a vacation. It's very rare for my husband and I to travel without having to work at the same time. I chose the Camino Real because of the architecture. I found a (almost) similar rate the W Hotel in Polanco but we decided to stick with the Camino Real because it said "Mexico". And I'm a fan of modern Mexican design. However, the location left a lot to be desired. The nearest metro stop was 15 minutes away. We don't normally take taxis and like to travel using public transport, so that meant a walk of at least 15 minutes to just *get on* the train. The station in Polanco was easily 30 minutes away. This made it difficult to go out at night after exhausting ourselves walking all day. Next time, we would stay closer to the Centro Historico. Otherwise, the hotel was fine. We ate at Cafe Heurta a couple of times - staff are excellent there. We had a drink (or three) at the China Grill on Saturday night. We wanted to go to the Moon Bar but it was closed for a private function (wedding reception). The bar was also closed at 6pm on Sunday and closed completely on Monday so we missed our chance. The pool also closed very early - 7pm. If you need a map of the major areas on D.F - the concierge don't have one. Don't buy one from the tobacco store either, it's useless. Track down a tourist office. Their maps are more than sufficient."

"the hotel was centrally locates. Access was good to various points in the city. The hotel is an older hotel that is kept well and has a art deco type style. There were several hotel on the premises which made dining easy."

"This hotel is better than ever. Great "in" restaurants (best of the city in chic-ness). Rooms modern, clean and luxurious. Internet access worked on arrival"

"Camino Real is a very cozy, thus elegant hotel with a variety of good restaurants, and a nice after hours bar. Service is great! Polanco is a great location for business or leisure, it's safe and accessible. I tottaly recomend this hotel, is definitely my favorite in a budget in Mexico City!"
