Pro: New, Nice and Clean Room with City View.
Cons: No Free Internet, nearest dining place is 10mins walk away unless eating at the hotel, no shopping malls nearby.

Perth Holiday

I found the Metro hotel very clean, comfortable and quite, our room was large and the views from our balcony were amazing over looking the Swan River and CBD. Transport was easy as the bus stop was out side the hotel going to Perth or accross the road to Fremantle.
The only thing I would advise is to check before arrival that the bedding is what you requested as I found that my 16yr old had to sleep on a sofa bed after we requested two proper beds eg double or single

During our stay in Metro Hotel, I...

During our stay in Metro Hotel, I think that this hotel could be nice for tourists travelling with the family because in one of the room type, there are 4 single beds, so it could accomodate until 4 peersons. This hotels location is not really good because it is a little bit far from the Perth cbd (st. Georges terrace, Adelaide terrace, hay street, murray street, and more).

I have stayed at this hotel a few times prior to refurbishment and enjoyed it, but after the makeover I was terrifically pleased, will stay again.

The location of the hotel suited us...

The location of the hotel suited us for an overnight stay, although for someone wanting to visit the city it is not that convenient. We arrived at 2a.m. and left by 9a.m. The room gave the impression that it had no attention to maintenance or decoration since it was built, probably in the sixties. The basin in the bathroom was cracked from one side to the other, there was no plug, and the hot water tap in the shower had to be handled with care otherwise the top came away in your hand. When my wife took a tissue from the dispenser it fell off the wall. The wall lights with small shades set at crazy angles and fitted with large energy-saving coils looked in the need of urgent attention even if it was just to have them both pointing in the same direction, preferrably downwards. Reception on arrival was good, but off-hand on departure, and that was without me making any complaints about the condition of the room. At £50 that was an expensive seven hours, very poor value for money, and I would not recommend the Metro to anyone, at any price.

I had a problem.I left my phone...

I had a problem.I left my phone charger in my room. I rang next morning to enquire whether the cleaner had handed it in.The person answering the phone said it was to soon but she would ring back later.Finally she rang back & said she had a number of chargers & couldn't identify mine.I believe if the cleaners find anything they should mark it with the room number. Apart from the above my wife & I enjoyed the stay. Bill Carter
