I know Ibis is a budget & no-frill hotel hence I was not expecting a lot. All I wanted was privacy and a clean room. I don't think that was a lot to ask for and yet I was uttering disappointed.
There was this indian lady housekeeper who just doesn't respect the guest's privacy. Even with the "I'M SLEEPING" sign hanging on my door, she kept knocking on my door everyday, and yelling "OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE.". All these nonsense stopped for a few days after I informed the front desk then resumed again on my 2nd last day. I put up at Ibis World Square for 2 weeks.
Not only the indian lady housekeeper doesn't respect the guest's privacy, she is very slack when servicing the room. I happened to be in the room while she was cleaning the room one day, she only made the bed, replaced the towels and that's it. She was out of the room in 2 minutes flat. No vaccuming of floor nor washing up used mugs. The tissue paper bits on the floor was accumulating everyday.
What really tipped me off was one day, I came back to my room and found the toilet still had shit stuck to the toilet bowl. That's really unacceptable hence I complained to the front desk. Only thereafter, the room was properly cleaned and vaccum.
Another thing which I was not pleased with the indian lady housekeeper was that she kept messing up my shoes even though she didn't vacuum the room (evidence from the accumulating tissue paper bits scattered everywhere in the room). My shoes would be all over the place instead of how I left them in a neat row. She could have scratched my patent shoes from her clumsiness.
