Ibis North Point - cust service was good, but room was too spartan & small
Room was clean but spartan and tiny-sized, with just barely enough space for 2 girls to inch around in with our luggages closed. Amenities were a bare minimum, with just a small rod to hang your clothes instead of a wardrobe, and a tiny TV mounted inside the wall at an odd angle to the beds. Toilet was clean but tiny. It was more like a hostel's than a hotel's, with just a tiny shower instead of a bath-tub. We paid a hkd $220 fee for 4 nights for an 'upgrade' to a harbour-view room but the 2 'twin' beds were smaller than the typical single beds. View was quite nice though, and location was good, just a 2 minute walk away from exit A1 of North Point MTR station (3 stopes from Causeway Bay). There's also plenty of good local food and convenience stores within walking distance. Location is safe too, us 2 girls were exploring the area at 1.30am on foot and we met the patrolling policemen twice in 10 mins. Service staff were also courteous and helpful. Overall, if you are not particular about space constraints or for a 'hotel experience', then this hotel is ok. If you need more, then try somewhere else!
