I stayed at the Eaton Hotel in October for 4 nights with my partner and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. Great service and very welcoming. Given a late check out around 2pm and i was absolutely delighted as my return flight was in the evening. Express bus A21 stops near the hotel (To be precise its near Majestic Hotel). Starbucks is just around the corner and so does McDonald's (across Nathan Rd). Like all hotels, the bar lounge and the breakfast area were a bit on the expensive side, but they did have a good atmosphere. Standard room was adequate for 2 person and was nice and clean. However, the walls were a little grubby just from general wear and tear. Decent sized bathroom with retractable washing line across the bath tub. The pool on the roof is beautiful, although only small it serves its purpose of allowing you to cool down after walking in the heat all day. Got some confusion with the hotel floors. The hotel lobby was on the 4th floor and they got floors like G/F and LG/F. Some elevators do not have B1 and B2. The Eaton seems to be central for everything. There are so many restaurants in the area to choose from. Its unbelievable, MTR station is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and it can easily get you to Mongkok (much cheaper for shopping) and over to Hong Kong island for sightseeing. Overall, extremely happy with my hotel choice.

My husband & I were very impressed by the services provided by Eaton Hotel. Our flight from LA arrived an hour and a half early at HKIA and we came out of the arrival hall at about 7:15 am. After checking the transport prices to the hotel, we decided to use the Airport Bus services. We were directed to Eaton Hotel desk (which was actually under The Langham Place) and the attendant there informed us the different prices for the Airport Bus (HK$120/pax) and the Airport Limousine (HK$440). We told them we would take the Airport Bus as it was cheaper. The attendant filled in the necessary forms, made the necessary calls, and help us with our luggage to the departure stand. On arrival there, he informed us that the hotel had upgraded us to an Airport Limousine. What a pleasant surprise! We arrived at the hotel about 8:15 am. I informed the reception that we were very early, but would appreciate if they could let us check in if it was possible. The reception said they would see if a room was available, and confirmed it was, and we were given a room right away, without any extra charge nor hassle. Although the room was very small (we had booked for a Standard room through the Internet) and in the corner of the building, we really didn't mind at all as all we wanted was to have a hot bath and a rest. So yes, we are very happy with Eaton Hotel. We had stayed there previously, but were in a customised group tour and had much nicer rooms (I think they were the Deluxe and we were upgraded to a family suite). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. There are no unpleasant surprises. Just very good surprises! The Concierge was also very helpful when we needed directions for good dim sum restaurants.

Very nice staff. Great location. When we arrived, they had only a room on the smoking floor for us. After complaining, they changed it without any hesitation to a room on the non-smoking floor. Rooms were quite spacious for Hong Kong measures. And the lobby café with the large panorama windows front is always pleasant for having an afternoon noon tea. Enjoyed our stay very much. We'll choose this hotel certainly another time, if coming back to Hong Kong.

Service is superb. No fuss in checking in. We asked for 3 in a standard room, got a decent size one with a sofa converted into a bed in split seconds! (only small complaint is that it creaks). Room is bright airy, everything neatly designed for maximal usage of space in the room. Long bath + shower room is definitely a plus point. Best part is, it is not stale with smoke or noisy, as with alot of HK hotels. Cafe has good ambience and free internet (albeit slow). You can enter the elevators direct from ground floor, without walking through loads of people in the lobby. Very convenient between YMT and Jordon MTR stations, and right opposite Temple street, etc. Excellent location. Will definitely use it again!

Feb/Mar 2005.We stayed at Eaton Hotel during our return visit to Hong Kong. The hotel is very modern looking and the rooms (and hotel in general) were very clean and also the rooms were spacious enough. The service was curteous and helpful, but did have one rude encounter with a service desk lady. We didn't dine in the hotels restaurants, because there are just way too many other options for eating in Hong Kong than hotel food.The hotel organised a private airport shuttle bus for our group of 6 which worked out cheaper than getting taxis and more comfortable than the public airport shuttle buses that we had caught on our arrival. As for MTR transportation, the hotel was located in between Jordan & Ya Ma Tei Station and a few minutes walk either way. It was a pleasant stay at Eaton, I wouldn't mind staying there again for my future Hong Kong visits.

My partner and I stayed at the Eaton hotel for 5 nights. The room was small but very cosy and clean. The staff were friendly and spoke english very well. We ate at thier Chinese restaurant a couple of times and the staff there are very accomdating plus the food tasted great. The location of the hotel is great! We could walk to all the tourist destinations like the night market, jade etc. There are also many buses along that road plus jordan metro station being so close - you can get to anywhere in hong kong from here. This place is definately a good place to stay if you're a first timer in hong kong.

Just stayed at Eaton last week for 3 nights. The room was superb, large and nicely done up. Great view. Non-smoking floor, clean and bright. Given that ours was a triple sharing, there was a lot of space to walk around. The bathroom was also very large and nice, with a seperate bath-tub and shower stall. The staff were also very hospitable. Will definitely stay there again.
However, just note that the Airport Shuttle DOES NOT stop there anymore. They will drop you somewhere near Jordan road and you have to walk for about 10-15 minutes. It is easier to hail a cab from the Kowloon Station- one of the Airport Express stops. Cab fare will cost around HKD 20, and you got to add HKD 5 handling fee for every piece of luggage you have.

I have stayed at a number of similar standard hotels in Hong Kong over the years, and I found the Eaton Hotel to be similar in comfort, fitout, surroundings, service etc.In fact in a number of ways I think it was a little better than some. In general, with the exception of one issue which I will explain in a moment, I was actually very happy staying there.
I was initially concerned with the location, as I normally stay around the Wanchai/Central/TST areas, and thought that Jordan may be a little too far out of the way. In fact, not so. Walking distance to Kowloon Park, the main shopping centres of TST, and minutes walk from Jordan or Yau Ma Tei MTR stations. (And I am a prolific user of the MTR when in Hong Kong.)
HOWEVER, one issue. When I arrived I was told that they did not have a room with a full bathroom on a non-smoking floor which I had requested. i.e. It did not have a bathtub, only what Reception described as "a stand-up shower". As I normally only ever use the shower anyway, I said I had no problems with this. I assumed that the "stand up shower" was an enclosed shower place with solid or glass walls. But when I got settled into the room, I discovered (a) that the bathroom was larger than I had expected at this standard so no problems with that, BUT... the so-called "stand up shower" was simply a small shower base in one corner with a shower curtain around the remaining two sides. It was near impossible to have a proper shower because the shower space was so small, and the shower curtains so close that they kept clinging to my wet body, and water always ended up going everywhere across the rest of the bathroom floor. Additionally, the actual toilet suite was at a very unusually high seating position that almost required one to climb up onto the seat.
But I would stay at Eaton when I visit again.

I have mixed feelings about the Eaton...
I have mixed feelings about the Eaton hotel. The lobby and common areas are very nice, but our room was dusty, had no view, awful beds, and was small. I had expected the room to be small but not dirty. The wallpaper was even peeling off. When I asked for an upgrade/cleaner room, etc., the staff was rude, unapologetic, and unhelpful. An upgrade is $50 to $80 USD, which was too much since the reason we stayed there in the first place was the price-to-value ratio. I travel about two months a year in Asia and have stayed in other hotels in Hong Kong which were superior. I do not recommend this hotel unless you are on a tight budget and won't be spending much time in the room.
