Great location with all the facilities you could need and attractive pool areas. However, the room was tired and in need of a good dose of cleaning products in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was not as good as when I have stayed here previously, and is spread across two rooms in the restaurant - staff do not tell guests this and it would be easy to miss part of the selection.
Overall, I have stayed in better hotels in Bali at cheaper prices.

Deluxe Booking
Arrived early evening 25th Sep 11 told that we had to pay upfront the whole amount owing before they could hand over the key. Wasn't happy. I have travelled the world and have never been asked this before. We ordered a deluxe room away from kids as we were trying to have a restful break. Our room was a disgrace. The toilet running, sticky substance and ants in the room and old TV we couldn't get to work! (This was our deluxe experience) We complained about our accommodation and they moved us to a 1 bedroom apartment in the front of the hotel. Little bit cleaner but old just the same. The balcony faced onto the street and the noise on occasion was enough to make someone pull hair. Entwined within the street noise was the 2am and 3am wakeup calls the quiet drunken partygoers who were in the next room coming home from the clubs. We tried to have a nanna nap around the pool but you could never get a deck chair or pool service. There are NO adults areas free from screaming meanies whilst their parents drink their duty free grog in the sun. Tired from that experience during the day we tried an afternoon kip in our room because the party-goers where asleep or on another bender. No such luck because mum and dads had retired to their rooms as well and let their kids play chasey and tag like a pack of thundering elephants up and down the hallways. We tried to complain but the staff just laughed at us and nothing was done. There was no room safe, no complimentary water bottles, no service. If I had not paid for the room upfront I would have moved. My early wakeup call was 15mins late and I only made my flight on time through sheer prayer and gods will. Would never stay there again
Rooms are so old ! The bathrooms are really bad, made me feel sick , just using them. We were a family of 4 and they didn't have enough towels so would only give us one. The towels were grey and like a tea towel. Food in the hotel is very poor also.
The pool area is nice.

Disappointed
My partner and I stayed at the Jayakarta. I was bitterly disappointed in the accommodation I booked. I booked an apartment room at a higher rate believing this would be the better room. Unfortunately it wasn't. The hotel room was much nicer and better located. We experienced hassles when requesting a room change and had to fight for a refund for the cheaper rate which was agreed upon. However at checkout we again had to go through the same process. Breakfast was a let down. I was surprised they covered a pool for 3 days for new years celebrations and when it was uncovered was green and unable to swim in it.

Absolutely!!
My husband, two teenage children & I decided to take the trip to surprise our group of friends (as we had said no to them when we where asked if we wanted to join them). It was the most exciting surprise, with tears of joy all round; We all (16 of us) had a fantastic time.

It is the third time we have stayed at the Jayakarta. The rooms are a little tired but overall it's a great place to stay.

We arrived at this hotel after booking...
We arrived at this hotel after booking a 1 Bedroom apartment. We were told trhat our room was not ready and can we come back in 1 hour. We did and were given a room with 3 single beds in. For a famoly of 4 this was not acceptable. We spoke to them and were told that we would have to take this room as this was all there was. After arguing the point we finally got our room at 8.00 that evening.
The pool area was very nice, however the pool is quite dirty.
The breakfast were ok but they continually ran out of things especially bacon and pancakes. When they restocked they would put only minimal amounts out.
One of our friends got electricuted by the exposed wires on the kettle. I asked them to send a doctor to their room. They did this however tried to charge them for the privellege.
The area around the hotel is quite nice with a few nice surrounding restaurants on the beach road.
Would I stay here agian......No.

Very dissapointing - cleanliness of bathroom non existing - rate paid for room exessive due to the fact was quoted one price by asiarooms and had to pay close to double on check out - (even though not hotels fault but wording on asiaroom confirmation).
will not be booking through asiarooms again
