Biyukukung is overpriced for the quality of the accommodation and services. Customer service was acceptable, but I was extremely displeased with the security features of Biyukukung. The first day I arrived slightly early for check in and the hotel was gracious enough to allow me an early check-in, however, when i returned to the hotel at 7pm, my room was unlocked even though i made sure it was securely locked when i left. I suspect that the housekeeping service must have entered my villa and neglected to secure my lock properly when they left. In part, the lock was a little faulty and I do not understand why it was not fixed.
The queen sized bed is huge, but the drapes and ceilings look dirty. Also, due to the proximity to the padi fields, expect a lot of nature's calls such as lizard and frog calls. I had a frog jump into my bathtub. Also, there are some algae growth on the walls of the nature shower and there was a broken tile on the top of the ceiling which left me feeling a little insecure. The safe looked really old and rickety, I did not dare to keep anything in the safe.
Honestly, I felt that Biyukukung was not worth the price paid. For the same amount or slightly more, you could probably get safer and more clean places to stay in.

Wonderful setting amidst paddies. Spacious room with superb view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location within walking distance of all the attractions of Ubud but still quiet off the main road.

My stay at Ubub is fantastic as it all begin with this hotel. During my stay there, it is the season of Padi blossom therefore I could smell the padi field which is actually just 5 foot step away from the villa which I stay. This willa is two storey high with the toilet below, the room is extremly clean and look new. Early morning I wakeup standing at the bluncony I could see the flourish of Padi which brighten my day. The breakfast provided by the hotel is good, a must try is the Jaffles prepare by them, it is very delicious. Lastly is the SPA which I try at the hotel, the manager give me a 40% discount for the sap. For traditional spa of 60mins I was charge just 12USD. A must stay when Padi blossom time.

I found my room in this hotel merely dirty ! The canopy and the curtains have not been washed for a while, the shelves were dusty, the mirror and door of the bathroom need the stains to be washed off... This place is not well maintained, I don't understand why it is categorized as "luxury". It does need to be "refreshed". At least some of the staff is friendly, but their english is quite poor.

budget stay for short period is ok, not for seniors and families due to the double storey and stacks of stairs from lobby to room while you push your luggages. Breakfast is basic, service is not so fabulous, lousy bathroom amentities.. when I turn down politely to the lady at the reception who offered me to try out the spa from the hotel, she never speaks to me again, not even goodbye when I wave at her before I left. Much better & cheaper spa outside the resort. Poor attitude.

This was a nice little boutique hotel...
This was a nice little boutique hotel with about 8-10 seperate 2 level villas. I have been to asia on numerous occasions and this hotel was clean, and small enough to have personal attention from staff. The rooms are fairly basic although clean and the beds are very comfortable. The setting is idealic being right next to some rice paddies and a great location so near the main street of restaurants, shops and monkey forest. Tip- buy bananas or lychees as you enter the monkey forest and you will have monkeys coming from everywhere.

My husband spent four days in the hotel recently and had a wonderful time, the staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was small but the view more than made up for the size and the bathroom was wonderful. As for breakfast,quite tastey but after four days we would have liked something different.
A hotel we would love to stay in again.

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely resort in the rice paddies, would've liked to have stayed a few more. The 2 storey room was beautiful, and the semi outdoor bathroom added to the charm. Their free shuttle made getting around easy. It didn't matter there was no restaurant in the resort as there are some beautiful ones within a couple hundred metres. Also the spa prices within the resort were expensive but just around the corner was a fantastic spa. Highly recommended.
