Nice little resort in Jimbaran...
First impression of the place was ... small.. but after wondering around inside the resort, it was quite decent.
Like quite a few other reviews, this place seems to be very isolated. Need to walk in a dark'ish lane to the Jimbaran beach restaurants. But seem quite safe. No issues there. Also for those on a budget, the other end of the street there is more the local shops, restaurants and a net cafe. Much cheaper than the hotel. (hotel charged 10k for 15 mins, the net cafe 3k rupiah for 1 hour) :).
One thing that i didn't like about that area is that while its close to the restaurants, I didn't it was worth it. The seafood price is not that cheap. (Note: Been told there is a local and tourist seafood restaurants). The local side is cheaper if you want to try.. so give those ones a go.
Another thing is that certain times, your driver have to pay 'entry" free if they want to drop you off at your hotel. Its not much but found it a bit weird.
Anyway, back to the hotel. The pool is very nice actually and rooms are big, and clean. Very quiet at night as well. The place was under renovation but only during day time. Staff was friendly. They will ask u for your plans as everyone is / can be a driver in Bali to take you around. Normal / decent price is about 400k per day. 500k is too much. 350 is a good price. So bargain hard.
Breakfast is buffet, but very limited. For me, it was good enough.
Personally will try other hotels when i visit bali (legian, sanur is nice), but if i had the same plan (family wedding at Jimbaran) again, will stay there again for sure. A very nice good value hotel.

This is a quiet & peaceful place but this may have been enhanced by mainly adults staying at the time. Wonderful tropical gardens, great pool, lots of sun lounges in a boutique size resort. Good pool side service. Breakfast mediocre but sufficient although somewhat basic. Rooms/bathrooms clean & adequate, nice quite air.con. No in room safe, no hair dryer (no longer think to take one anymore!), no shop to buy even water within the complex or within reasonable walking, free Kuta shuttle 3 times during day only. Renovations at entry can be noisy at times but no huge impact. Friendly staff, helpful & obliging. Little opportunity to eat out unless catching a cab - this adds to daily expenditure. Easiest option to go to beach found that on third experience over the last 5 years the beach fish markets have fallen in calibre to 'why bother?' The word 'disgusting' springs to mind - little wonder so few there apart from dragged in tourist buses. .

Best value for money
We stayed in two rooms side by side in front of the brakfast restaurant.
The place is really peaceful, the staff is very friendly the massages are great and cheap, the food is great, (one of our best breakfasts in Bali) and you can enjoy live gamelan music at the dinner.
We planned to spend only the first and the last night of our trip at the Puri Bambu, but we booked two extra nights as we reallly loved the place.

5 star accomodation on 3 star buget.
I cannot express how impressed I was with this hotel. Just a hop skip and jump to the airport and not much futher to kuta (about 50,000 to get to either) it was not really inconvenient location. It was a short stroll to the beach and the fabulous seafood places. Take advantage of the free shuttle into Kuta.
The staff will bend over backwards for you, our superior room was just that (after the shocker in ubud) and pool area was great.
I will be back again in april and will be sure to be my first stop xo

I needed an up-market place as I...
I needed an up-market place as I was traveling with my mother. We loved Puri Bambu's location because it's very conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the airport, perfect for redeye flights.
Great location for foodies. It is a short walk from Jimbaran Bay area which is famous for its seafood. Nusa Dua and Kuta are both around twenty minutes away by car.
The hotel can arrange a car at USD 70 per day to travel around Bali. We found this to be a convenient option for visiting the Kintamani volcano, the handicraft centers and traditional dance shows near Ubud etc.
The beautiful hotel interiors and the delicious swimming pool were just the cherry on the cake!
Verdict: It's a good idea to stay here if you're traveling with family and convenience scores high on your list.
