Beautiful garden
The hotel is located on a easy to access main road but there is no noise of traffic. The tropical garden is quite lovely. The swimming pool is quiet small. The beach about 5 minute walk. The room was the least expensive one and quite clean. There are some design errors in the room. To turn on the electrical system a thick key handle must be inserted into the panel. However, to lock the door the key should be removed. That means the entire room is plunged into darkness and you have to feel your way to the door, lock it, then feel your way back to insert the key for the lights. I could not find the switch to turn off the main lights. Those switches are located behind the headboard of the bed. The room boy had to move the bed around in order to turn off the light. He then very helpfully took the room key apart, leaving the handle inserted to keep the electricity on and giving me the small rings of keys to the door. An effectice and funny solution! Staff were helpful about small personal matters but would not lift a finger to help me carry 2 bags up and down the stairs. Most people stay in the cottages.

could be better if they get pest control to eliminate ants especially in the room. there are many cracked tiles in the room and it posed danger because of the sharp edges.

Great Stay will return
My stay at Sri Phala was a superb experience. The members of staff were friendly and provided a great service. I loved the gardens the pool and outside restaurant. The room was large and comfortable, the bed excellent. Of small note, the bathroom could use a little fix, not important in itself, but would improve the overall effect of the hotel. Maybe a fixed shower rather than bath/shower.
Overall, there is no doubt that my next visit to Bali in January I will be staying at this delightful hotel.

Quiet, relaxing and cosy
Stayed in a double deluxe room (with breakfast for 3) with my husband and son. Very big and spacious but not very well lit especially the bathroom. Cleanliness was passable if you were not too fussy. The bed linen and towels were rather worn. We had 3 complimentary bottles of drinking water daily which was very thoughtful. My family and I simply loved their restaurant. The Food & Beer served were great and portions rather big. The ambience was the greatest i.e. quiet, comfortable, relaxing and cosy. In fact, the entire resort was just that. We had our dinner there for the whole duration of our stay. Lovely pool area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great stay.

Oasis in busy Bali
We loved the Sri Phala. It was an oasis in busy Bali. Sure, you could hear the hum of the traffic from your room but I have found that with most accommodation in Asia, unless staying in sterile, multi-storey hotels. Sanur is quieter than Kuta and Seminyak but still lots of traffic.
The best thing about the Sri Phala was the staff - they were exceptional and I do hope the owner of the hotel recognises this and compensates them accordingly.
The restaurant was in a lovely pool-side Bal-style hut which was very pleasant. The breakfasts, which were included, were good.
The pool was fabulous in its tropical setting and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The tropical gardens help make the Sri Phala feel like an oasis.
The room was large and air-conditioned. It had a recessed wardrobe area which helped with keeping the room tidy as we could put our clothes away and store our suitcases out of sight. The bathroom was a bit "tired" and didn't match 5-star accommodation bathrooms but was clean with plenty of hot water.
It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. There were a number of restaurants along that walk and then more along the beach.
We stayed for 10 nights and loved it. All of the guests we spoke with during our stay felt the same.

The staff at the hotel are great, the Deluxe room was very large and the bed was nice and firm. The gardens of the hotel are amazing, it is like being in a tropical paradise, the gardens give each room privacy and it does not feel like you are looking into other peoples rooms. The food is average. Breakfast did not taste good or bad it just had no taste. The walls to the rooms are thin and you can hear any 'night time activity' that is going on in the next room. Overall it was a great stay. If I could only get a hotel like this with the same atmosphere located in central Sanur I would be in paradise.

This is our fourth stay at Sri Phala and as usual the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Value for money. They could add a few more pool beds and extend the wifi to all rooms and it would be perfect.
