I was given a room below the grade I'd booked on the internet and it took the reception some time to accept this the next day. In the end, we preferred the original room and stayed there: the outdoor bathroom takes a bit of getting used to, especially if frogs frighten you, but we enjoyed the experience. Lovely outdoor restaurant looking onto a river and jungle; away from town, so fairly quiet, with a regular free shuttle in. Decent food in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. I recommend the hotel.

This is a unique location. It is not within easy walking distance of "downtown" Ubud, but it is an excellent getaway for those people who aren't seeking the action. Taxi service is cheap and simple. There are a great many stairs to negotiate, even to get from the reception area to the rooms, so it might not be ideal for people who have trouble getting up and down. There were only 4 rooms let out when we were there in February so the service people were readilly available. We often had the pool to ourselves. I think this is a fine place to spend a quiet time and enjoy the luxurious vegetation that Bali has to offer.

In general, room is OK but sevice is not good as expected. I booked a double room with a double bed but they simply combined two single beds together & told me it is double bed standard in their hotel. after I strongly complained, they changed another room (with a real double bed) to us next day.
Loacation is a bit far from city centre but acceptable. food and pool are good.
remarks: no television in the room

Lovely place, great room and very helpful staff. It is a little way out of Ubud, but there's a free minibus to take you in & back if you want.

The service was good and the staffs were well trainned and friendly. If you do not care about staying a little far from the monkey forest but want to stay at a good price performance hotel, I will recommend this hotel.

It was like staying in a temple in the jungle! Wonderful grounds (but lots of steps to pool and restaurant so not suitable for everyone). Lovely room and veranda, with super jungle views. Restaurant superbly situated down overlooking river. Service very friendly. A bit out of Ubud but complimentary shuttle was excellent, as was the masseur at the hotel spa!

Our rooms (Riverside villa) were rather grey and stark, though large and airy. We were there in the rainy season so it was rather chilly and damp. Nice surroundings however, and good food at the restaurant.

EXCELLENT! I really enjoyed my stay at the Bali Spirit hotel. The view is just AMAZING. I would highly recommend this peaceful hotel. The room was nice and clean. The staff was also very helpful.
