We stayed one night early of april 09. The bathroom is terrible(mold and smell). Breakfast is sufficient but not so good.

We stayed there for a week. We paid only fifty dollars a night and felt it was worth it. The bathroom facilities could be improved, it was far from polished but generally clean. The room too had dusty corners. Nonetheless, we were budget travellers and felt it was worth the price.

My husband and I stayed at the Losari February 2009 and had a great stay over 4x nights.
Nice hotel, good location, near all stalls, shops and restaurants, helpful staff, good clean pool, breakfast decent, reccommended!
Ask for a pool view room, particularily one at ground level right next to the pool (rooms 112-120), this is a great location, walk from room and fall into pool, very relaxing...
Avoid the top floor as the rooms get very hot during the day when out walking - as the air-con is automatically turned off when leaving the rooms.
We'd definitely stay at the Losari again even though there are any number of hotels to pick from at Kuta, Legian, or Seminyak.

When we arrived we had requested a deluxe room with a balcony well this looked out over the road and had hardly any sleep due to the noise. As we had arrived late we were dissapointed that there was no mini bar and had to go out to street as no room service was available either.
In the morning we got moved to a superior room after complaining to management this room was supposedly cheaper (no refund), this room was larger had a pool view with a balcony which the deluxe had neither of.
There was a pool bar which was unavailable which was very disappointing. Breakfast was very simple but might very well could be the highlight of a very simple hotel, however that said the hotel is in a very good location in Legian.
Would not stay at again for a little bit more money can stay in a much better hotel.

Stayed here last week september and it's good value for your money! Standard rooms are quite spacious, clean. Good location too, not in the heart of busy Kuta but more near Legian. Also a plus: very cheap internetcafe 10 meters next to hotel! Hotel spa also recommended. Breakfast not bad but sufficient. Will def consider staying again next time in Bali.

The bedroom comes with a balcony and is spacious.
The bathroom is always flooded with water, the water flow does not drain to the floor trap. The bathroom walls need scrubing and shower curtain need to be changed. The hotel should provide cleaner bath towels.

Not much more to say! Great value for ~$50 USD per night! The only better value was the Richmonde in Manila but that was last year, and they went up by 80%.

Losari is your typical modern small hotel...
Losari is your typical modern small hotel where they squeeze maximum rooms in a building unlike Kuta Beach Club semi-detached bungalows with nice gardens. (But they got the 3 beds ready upfront - read my feedback on Kuta Beach Club) You'll find few in the tiny cold pool in the middle except children.
But my main gripe is Legion beach located 15minutes walk away. The waves are too dangerous to swim. You'll need to go south to Kuta beach which is safer.
Reception is ok (welcome drink offered promptly by a nice lady) but subsequent guy on duty at night did not smile and just looked at you as you walked past. (I'm an middle age IT consultant with 2 young kids in tow - in case you're wondering).
Shops nearby are not to eager to bargain and could not find some nice local cuisine nearby as well. As Mimi of Malaysia said, I would look for cheaper alternatives with better pools.
Redeeming quality - cleaniness.
