This hotel was surely fine 30 or 50 years ago but nowdays... it's better to avoid it!
The location is "friendly" (Lovina) but you should choose an another place to stay.

The service is excellent, i reserved deluxe room but got president suite with private pool inside, spacious room and nice bathroom. the hotel upgraded my reservation because it was fully booked. closed to black sandy beach (lovina beach ) and suitable for family. Shouldn't be missed for the dolphin tour.

A very nice setting, right on the beach. The pool area is beautiful. The room was showing some wear but was very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was also showing some wear. This place is very quiet. It was a bit of a walk to the local restaurant area (about 15 mins) but the seclusion of Sunari was worth it.

Me and my boyfriend staying at the sunari for 3 nights. The room was somewhat disappointing for the price. The room was clean enough but the bathroom had alot of mildew and mold on the shower. Airconditioner was loud as well. But we liked the pool. Nice big pool with nice dark blue tile. Only problem with the pool was there weren't enough chairs for everyone. The restaurant is good, free breakfast with anything you want. The beach is right out from the hotel and there are a few other restaurants around. We went snorking which was great, alot of fish! Overall i would say this place is good for families but it is not outstanding.

Location: 5 minutes drive from town, the hotel itself is beside the beach. You can walk to the beach through the rear gate. From there, you can arrange dolphin watching tours with the locals.
Facilities: Pool is big, local cafe is just beside the beach. There's spa, but you need to make reservation before you go.
Others: Wish there is adequate lighting along the corridors because it's very dark at night.
Overall, this is a good hotel to stay, it's peaceful and quiet.

Unfortunately for the high prices charged, the property is a bit run down with some little maintenance issues.EG:Sliding glass verandah doors to both our rooms were broken, although maintenance were very quick to fix. General observation around the whole property showed a bit of attention needed to justify prices. The general cost of buying food and drinks at the premises was way too expensive. The locals on the beach directly outside are fantastic and not pushy at all. Very nice people! We found an absolute gem of a bar/restaurant run by Allan- avery personable English gent. Immediately on the beach turn left walk approx 50-70metres to a place called Spunkies. RIGHT on the BEACH!!!! Small beers only 15000Rp, varied menus with ALL PRICES VERY VERY REASONABLE Would have to be the cleanest toilets I have come across in 9 varied visits to Bali!!!!! Worth a visit no matter where you stay at Lovina. Unfortunately for Sunari villas, I cannot recommend for the price, unless you obtain a cheap internet rate and deal with the locals on the beach and eat and drink at Spunkies.

for the same amount of money that i paid for hotel in kuta which is a disaster, this is definitely a bonus for us. the environment is so relaxing with beautiful landscape, beautiful room and a variety of breakfast selection. i would definitely stay in this hotel if i ever visit bali again.
