Stayed for one night with 3 golfing friends on 15 february. Check in was a bit slow as there 2 staff on duty only. Waited 10 minutes before attended to but smiles & apology. We ate lunch & dinner at THE Square resturant we found the service was lacking especially in the afternoon hours. The staffs were not attentive everytime we had to call them even for drinking water which is basic. Food is also average. The room I stayed was clean, comfortable but the aircon was not cold. Woke up middle in the night sweating. Considering the prices we paid it is not value for your money. We are considering other option as we go to batam every 2 month for golf.

Weekend Gateaway
Swimming Pool - Try to avoid it, we felt itchy and also got rashes after swimming. Breakfast - Food is OK but insufficient number of tables & chairs. Was told to come back at 10am when the buffet ends at 10am itself. Haiz allowed us to enter but we had to arrange for our own tables & chairs at the pool. Hotel Location - Near to Ramayana, Nagoya Hill and others.
Maybe Yes or No will be back.

Hotel Taxi
Be careful using hotel taxi. I have an experience that the driver didn't give fully information so he just offered the common price as normal taxi. The price is little bit higher from common price so we take the hotel taxi. But when we went off, he denied and showed us the legal price list. He didn't explain detail just intract us to use their service and when we treated him to report to management he pretended that he was right as he showed us the legal price list.
When we reported to Hotel, the supervisor (Hendri) said that the taxi has different management with them. and he apologized for that. If the management is different the taxi management (driver) should apologize behalf of his company name in front of hotel management. Then when I asked what the hotel will do regarding this? He didn't say anything and I guessed it will not process anymore.
I am from Indonesia, of course I can speak Indonesian and of course it will not be understanding when the driver explained to us. I have many witness what he said.
Although the driver acknowledged that he didn't give us the right information but we already used their service and they have got that money. So be careful ... they try to get the customers by this way.

Pleasent stay
We booked the room at Novotel through Asiarooms and in our booking,we requested for King/Queen size bed (deluxe double room). However, when we were checking in, we were told that the double rooms were fully booked, we had to occupy a twin room and there is NO WAY they can change the room for us! We were totally disappointed and emphsized again and again that if we knew that the double rooms are fully booked, we would have cancelled our booking at Novotel. After telling the receptionist how upset we are and refusing to have a twin room (which took 10-15minutes), the receptionist made a call and told us we can have a double room with king size bed. -.-" argh!!! Such disappointment was totally unnecessary?!
Otherwise, the room is clean, staff is friendly and breakfast buffet is great (there was very nice Novotel Fried Rice on the 2nd day of our stay).. We also tried the hotel's couple massage - the massage room had a funny smell and the floor was dusty.. there was no music during the massage until towards the end of our 1.5hr massage session. The massage was average and nothing to scream about...

Might want to re-consider your stay
Hotel staff display good command of English and prompt check in. Hotel room is as seen from pictures. There is convenience store across the hotel. Taxi fare from Batam Center to hotel costs INR$60,000 or SGD$10. On the way back costs INR$80,000.
We visited the spa facility in hotel. A male repeatedly opens the door to our room when we were having massage. Friend and I felt intruded and insecure because we were naked. Unfortunately, spa staff did not respond in any kind or check who the male is. It seems like this is very normal at the spa.
Hotel swimming pool water is murky. We brought our swimming costumes but didn't dare step in at all. Computer at lobby that offers free internet service is not functioning throughout our 2 days stay there.

Gd customer service delivered but got to work on cleanliness
We reach earlier than expected and the customer service officer immediately do a check in for us without us requesting.. Gd services delivered throughout our stay. A pity that only 1 lady is eloquent in English while e other treat us like air when they heard us asking qns in English..
The bed sheets r rather dirty and there are sone like dirt fragments left on the bath tube luckily it can be easily wash away with water..
The hotel is situated rather near to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and they do provide transportation to customer at designated timing which is thumb up, just feel a little puzzle, if u cam send customer to why not consider sending us back if we happen to finish shopping time around that timing since e car are returning to the hotel?
We order a soup and it taste not bad so we decided to order breakfast in before check out. We order their specialty and a American Breakfast. Frankly speaking, I feel disgusted by the appearance and taste of American Breakfast. The food are cold and they looks like those leftover food from the breakfast buffet. Such a disappointment.

we have really enjoyed the facility of hotel. rooms were excellent . breakfast was superb serving different cousine suits all category of visitors across world.
check in was very delay and allocation of our second room made delay of more than one hour after check in in our first room.
overall value of money is there and can rate the hotel as 9 out of 10
