Puri Bunga Hotel Senggigi Lombok
Upon arrival for check in in late afternoon they only have one room prepared although we booked for two. One was ok. The other is very-very dirty plus the air-conditioning was not working. I asked for to move and immediately given another. Very old hotel never renovated.

not good for older people as a lot of stairs to climb if you are up near the top..food ordered to the room was very little for what was paid..b/fast was ok..but cold if you got down an hour after it was cooked..water and coffee in your room..nice view up near the top...noisy water pipes and hammer was not good..tv..said cnn and Hbo movie channel was waiting for a signal..but we never got a picture for 4 days...not good for English speaking tourists.Sometimes no hot water..but a reasonable place to stay..and with asiarooms they didn't seem to have us on computer..but did put us in a better room.

Even though Puri Bunga was not directly...
Even though Puri Bunga was not directly on Senggigi beach, it was only about 10-15 walk away. The room was spacious and clean, the pool was deep (i think a dive school might use it for their courses) and big enough for a hotel. I think its great value for USD28, only thing was the bathroom was a bit dark and have seen better days - but was still clean and completely usable. Has the cutest smallest wooden door i've ever seen, very quaint.

Great service, nice staff. Great location...
Great service, nice staff. Great location to the triathlon right across the road from the Sheraton. The stairs to get to the room were a bit steep at the end of the weekend, but that may be attributed to participating in the triathlon and suffering from weary legs. The views from the rooms were tremendous, fantastic sunsets.

Good value for money, friendly staff, near...
Good value for money, friendly staff, near to the beach, u can't do much except relaxing at the pool/the beach .. no partying etc near around but good restaurants.

The hotel scenery is nice and green...
The hotel scenery is nice and green and the staff are very friendly, the only thing we would like to feedback is about the power trips which occur everyday during our 3 days stay. You need to improve on power/electricity backup, breakfast(same food everyday, brigter lightings(esp. ceiling) and facilities such as kettle and beverage in every room everyday would make the customers enjoy their stay. Hopefully when we come back soon, there will be some improvements like the above.

We stayed three nights at the Puri...
We stayed three nights at the Puri Bunga. The premises is built on the side of a hill looking directly over the ocean, with magnificent views to Bali. Watching the day start on the water from the balcony was a lovely experience, as were the sunsets. The room is fine- clean and spacious, although the bathroom was a little rundown and hot water was unreliable. The supply of electricity to the area is erratic, but the hotel has its own generator. The pool area is newly refurbished. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit limited, but still a filling start to the day. Sengiggi is not receiving the numbers of tourists that it needs to sustain the sellers and this makes a trip out frustrating. We were continually hounded by people selling things. There are many nice things to be bought locally and the art market is across the street. Just a walk across the main road and you're at the beach, but it can be a steep climb back to the room. Going out at night to one of the nearby restaurants is a little scary because the street lights are not turned on, but once you're there, there are many good eateries to choose from. Take a flashlight.
