Fantastic Staff
A great Hotel, all the staff I met were friendly and helpful, very handy to two large malls and many eating choices, all in all the Plaza Surabaya would be a hotel I would stay in again without hesitation,

This hotel is very well located nearby malls. The place is clean and correctly furnished.Internet was very slow and difficult to use. Breakfast food was awful, surely not good for western taste. Room is big and clean. Service, room and equipement is good for the price we had by asiarooms.

Junior suite??
The room that I stayed does not qualify a Junior Suite status. It's misleading the public!!!. To me it's an ordinary superior room!!!. The room is in dire need for renovation and the level of cleanliness is far from acceptable. The bath towels need to be changed as it's over-used and dirty!!!

I was suppose to stay at the Hotel Majapahit during my stay in Surabaya but it was over booked, so i had to stay in this hotel. This hotel surpass all my expectations in terms of its tropical settings, decor, service and cleanliness. We initially booked for a night and plan to transfer to a different hotel after our trip to Mt.Bromo, but the service was so impeccable that we decided to stay another night. The many staffs very often addressed me by name and when we checked in for another night stay, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe suite. That is what i call service. All the suites are huge and the mall next door is great. The swimming pool is olympic size and has a maximum depth of more than 3 metres, so it is for serious swimmers only.

Though location and service are very good, there were several things which need the reconsideration of the hotel management. My room on the 3d floor was full of the smoke coming from the cafe on the ground floor, something nowadays is simply not acceptable. The bathtub was filthy and probably from the last century... it is not something I have ever seen in a 4-star hotel! I do really not recommend this hotel to anybody with children. That one night we stayed there will be probably the only night I spent there... I will try to book the Majapahit Hotel in Surabaya earlier next time...
