Good Location
The hotel have good location at Malioboro road, next to shopping mall and in front of many stalls selling cheap sovuniers for the tourist. Easy to find tour agents for arrange to raction places in Yogyakarta. Breakfast just ok nly because not may choice.

The hotel had renovation going on on the floors above so if we were in during the day we heard drilling etc. The hotel should have informed us of it's renovation works. It was a real annoyance considering we were on vacation. Also, we heard the call to prayer everyday at 4 or 5 am in the morning right behind the hotel.
Plus side: At least there was wifi in the lobby and the location was central. However, Malioboro turned out to be more expensive area to shop. The markets near the temples proved better.

The staff were generally helpful and pleasant...
The staff were generally helpful and pleasant to guests. The breakfasts were good with choices of foods and fruits, but they need to somehow let guests know that they could provide eggs (of various choices by guests) as this was not known to us initially until we asked.
We don't know if there is a shortage of handtowels and face-washers, but we didn't get these regularly everyday and a couple of times we had to ask for them.
While the room and facilities inside were great we found the airconditoning not providing the relief that we would like in terms of temperature particularly after an outing in the heat of the tropics. We had it on the lowest possible control level and yet the temperature was only slightly below that of outside ambience.

The hotel is very run down considering the $$ we paid. The breakfast is no good. The only good thing is the location, right at the centre of Malioboro street which makes it very convenient for us.

The lift tiles are broken and missing same as with the bathroom which make it not only unsightly but dangerous.
The numerous amount of motor bikes parked outside the main entrance doesn't add to the ambiance of the hotel and camouflages it.
