The amenities of the hotel was great. The interior of the hotel was fairly old. Doesnt match with the exterior of the hotel at all. It is time for them to do some reno. Initially stayed on the third floor where the tap water was brown and the floor of the dining room sticky. Didnt feel good about the room and wanted to go home immediately. Hubby asked for a change of room and the hotel manager is kind enough to give us another room immediately. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Other than the room where it seriously need some touch up, everything were great. However, would not consider staying there again.

Slippery bathroom
Booked a 2 rooms apartment for Rm 356.80.
Drove from Singapore to Malacca with my parents both 74 years old to try out some Noyah food before heading up to KL..
Check-in was fast and hassle free, room was assigned after completing all paperwork and deposits.
Hotel design is not elder friendly as there are many steps and dead drops. Pathway are not lit at night, strolling at night can be dangerous for elders.
Inside the bathroom / Shower / tub there are no anti-slip mat.
My Dad slipped and injured his right arm. This have cut short our holiday and have to drive back the next day.
Maybe Asiarooms can come up with another rating for elder friendly hotel.
Will I visit this hotel again ? Very unlikely.

Noise at midnite
Noise from hotel pub in the nite is disturbing. Pls make sure the hotel room is sound proof. Sometime, kids running outside the corridor can be heard as well.
Breakfast buffet quality needs improvement. The rendang chicken gravy at nasi lemak stall taste like rendang beef gravy.

Good Location, poor management
We had short stay at Mahkota and the keysystem was terrible. we could not get into our room each time we were out.
We have to walk back to the main lobby to revalidate the card key and it was not only for one time,but it was all the time. When the staff came, even the master key could not open the door; but only after numerous attempts. We were already very tired.

They need to refurbish the whole place. Paying over Rm300 for such a place is totally not worth at all

I booked 2 rooms, asking for high level but instead was given 2 corner rooms on the 1st level. That's not all. The rooms were probably repainted recently and the whole living room area was reeking of the smell of fresh paint. It was quite unbearable to a certain extent. We had to open the balcony windows to air the living room. The carpets in the rooms were old and they had a musty smell in it. My room even had sharp objects in the carpet near the door. I assume its the tip of the nails or staples that they had used to keep the carpet in place. I was pricked several times by it. Although it was not serious, I could still feel the pain each time I stepped on it. Next up was the toilets, somehow my bath tub was leaking at some place so each time after somebody had bathed, the toilet floor would be wet. The bathroom mat that was placed in the toilet to dry your feet would be soaked in water. The bath tub drainage hole seems partially choked as well because the water was going down at a super slow rate. The water in the bath tub would accumulate till around your ankle. The aircon in the rooms were also super noisy and you can't alter the temperature of the aircon in the living room. The TV had goods channels but one of the TV in the rooms had images that would jump every other minute. Quite irritating at times. Another minus point is the service at the convenience store in the hotel. I rushed there wanting to buy some water and playing cards but was rejected by the lady inside who said the store was closed even though the time was 10.20pm and the store was supposed to close at 10.30pm. I had to drive out again just to buy my stuff. Overall the experience is getting worse as this was my 3rd visit to the hotel. Would probably consider other hotels next time unless looking for apartment style rooms again.

Though the hotel is located in a strategic location in Melaka, the hotel rooms and amnities need to be upgraded as they look old. Besides that the water in the bathroom is very slow and it took longer to clean. Hope they can improve it.
