Value for money
The hotel heeded our request for a quiet room overlooking the garden and made an effort to accommodate our request. The management was very helpful in changing the room for us when we noticed the room opened to a common area (which is least visited).
The buffet breakfast, though simple, was awesome for a 3-star hotel. The scramble egg is my favourite.
Our only complaint would be the slight damp smell from the blanket which could be due to the humid climate. The condition can be improved.
Overall, Casa de la Rosa is a pleasant hotel to stay. Suitable for those who enjoy greeneries, prefer quietness and do not mind travel into town (which is less than 5 minutes away).

I was a bit unsure of what...
I was a bit unsure of what to expect as I couldn't find any online reviews before I booked, but I was most pleasantly surprised. The Casa de la Rosa is very well-maintained and has a lovely "olde world" charm about it. The Golf Terrace has a lovely view over the golf course and we took "high tea" here in the afternoon. The staff were very pleasant and cheerful and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately the internet service was unavailable whilst we were there (due to a virus). After coming from a supposedly five-star hotel in KL (which was quite dirty) the Casa de la Rosa was spotless. The bathroom was a bit small (bit of a squash when opening/closing the door) but otherwise fine. We had a "hill view" room, which although was not as modern as the "golf view" rooms, was lovely and quiet. Our waitress in the hotel restaurant was absolutely lovely and made us our first ever steamboat meal, which was brilliant!

The room was really spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids - 1 king sized bed and 2 super single beds. Lots of room to move about still, let alone a big balcony for viewing the breath-taking scenary.
Mother-in-law was truly amazed by the sight of the well grown roses outside the hotel.
If you are travelling in big groups - we had 16 members- do inform the receptionist earlier if you opt to eat at the hotel so that the hotel could provide more food and staff to serve at the hotel FB outlet.
There was a pavillon in the garden,while the kids had lots of fun running around in the garden, the adults enjoyed the scenary and the packed food from the town( 10 mins drive from the hotel).
