Crown Regency Beach Resort, Boracay  

So I can tell you that we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island and here are some specific pros's & con's: Con's-The way the hotel is situated none of the rooms have ocean views. The drain on the bathroom floor had foul odor coming from it. We booked the penthouse and a couple of problems with that was it only has 2 small windows that view the Sky bar. If it had a balcony the length of the 2 windows it would definitely be a great looking penthouse because it has not very much light, more like a pentcave. It is way to big for a couple. Also the hotel is only 3 months old so the lift not operational but was being worked on. Kinda tough since the penthouse is on floor #4! I'm sure it is finished but ask when you book. Pros's- This is a very "hip" looking hotel with an amazing infinity sky pool that you can sit on and look down on the unsuspecting tourists. They are in the process of finishing the Sky Bar and the sunbathing area while we were there which I am sad to say I wish I could see the finished product because it was looking very "rich". The room price is definitely better than the other hotels we walked in during our 5 day stay. This is definitely a boutique hotel with 40-50 rooms so the staff treats you like a family member not a customer at some huge hotel chain. It is under careful security watch with an officer day and night so the safety record is #1 for its guests. Beach access is undeniably great. We stayed on first floor and walked out of our room 50 meters and were standing on white powder sand. There is free wireless,newspapers,coffee,breakfast included with our stay. Very important,be sure to ask prior to your arrival about the hotels porter service. I highly recommend it. A staff member meets you at Catlican Airport>boards the ferry boat With you>a driver pics you up in Boracay>drives you close to hotel(no beach road)>has porter carry all your bags directly to the front desk. We used this service going back because we did not know about it and we were lost when we arrived on where to go,who to barter with, what to pay, porters everywhere,an tricycles all want your business. Use the hotels service+++ for sure. In regards to booking with Asia Rooms I would definitely use them again. When we prebooked the penthouse and decided not to stay in it (for the above reasons)and stay in a deluxe room (the hotel had no problem moving us immediately) both Asia Rooms and The Hotel Staff worked together to credit the difference of the costs for the rooms which I just got.
