Pay More for a better place
The room is much dirtier than I had expected...and it has a dog smell. Spider webs on the ceiling..but the plus side is there is free wi fi. Other than that, I would not stay here again. The location is ok, closer to Ximending MRT than Taipei Main Station.

Hotel price increase slightly from last year. This time i stay 6nights..2night for 3 times..one of the night was abit weird for one of the room..some weird sound and some errie feeling..manage to change another room the next day..and was much better..total nights stayed in Relite since last year 6+3....one night very bad experience only..room is quite dusty..most probably due to the old infrastructure..

The place is quite old and run down. I actually used it as my staging hotel for my visit to Taiwan. In total, I stayed in 3 different rooms. While travelling around northern Taiwan, I left my luggages at Relite hotel and took a one day back pack. Coming back to the room, the toilets are especially bad. The ceiling is so low that I have actually hit it with my hand a couple of times while showering. The doors in the first room was a sliding door and my kids were unable to close it. The second was ok and the 3rd had a problem with the latch. The toilet door opens up when someone open the front door! (must be due to the changes in pressure in the room. Worst of all the air conditioning kept on going out so I get little sleep when that happens and that does not make a very good thing especially when you are going to visit a zillion places the next day.
PS The staff was pretty polite and helpful.
