Spoilt Paradise
A Peaceful Resort that is popular with French Tourists. The Junior Suite was charming although the TV did not function very well. The Restaurant was good, with high quality Thai and Western cuisine at resonable prices. All staff were very friendly and sociable.
The Papillon enjoys great views of the Chaweng Bay and associated islands. It's let down by the lack of a sandy beachfront and average beach which is full of small rocks and rubbish in the water which spoils the experience and is dangerous to walk in.

we stayed there during july 2007. ...
we stayed there during july 2007. a small but warm resort. when we arrived there, the pool was fixing, and they offered 50% off and up grade us to a mini suite, very fair, but my son was very disappointed. overall food was yummy with some french food, very quiet environmnet because at the north of chaweng, when tide low, u will see a small beach and just walk along the beach to the centre of chawent; but if you walk out further to the sea, there are a lot of fishes and corals if you like to snorkelling. very nice staff and very helpful too. we do not mind to go back if we go samui next time.
