Horrible place ,horrible rooms & not so helpful staff .
It is a budget NO star accomodation being sold as a 4 star hotel.
Our room hada problem , the AC in the room leaked all night .omplaining the next morning , they refused to change our room or provide alternate till the AC was being repaired .
Also on complainingt hey said we should contact our agent - Asia Rooms For help.
The pool is small ..
We booked a superior double room, but we were given a double room with the beds attached together , the room was exceptionally small & biggest problem was the back rest that was made for twin sharing so the wooden planks kept on poking & hurting,
Please do not bother staying here . Pay TB1000 more and stay in a nicer resort . Koh Samui is a lot about the place you stay in.

Love Dara Samui
Just returned from Dara Samui resort. Upon arrival first impressions are not as perfect as photos but still very beautiful. Great resort, really good prices for food and drinks, great rooms, excellent airconditioning! In the perfect location on Cheweng Beach, so close to town a walk out the door and you are in the centre of it all, but nice and peaceful in the resort and the beautiful pool and beach to relax by. Staff very helpful. Loved it and would definately return!

What a great resort. The Dara is on a long and narrow plot of land, however they have used the space well. The pool is fantastic overlooking the beach. The service is great with the staff always having a smile on there face. The beds are hard and the temperature of water in shower was inconsistant. But really, who cares!!!! The location of this resort is perfect. Top end of Chewang Beach and only 2 minutes walk to all the action. We got married at Six senses hideawway then stayed 10 nights at Dara to spend time with our 45 guests. They all loved the place as well. You wont regret it.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and i would highly reccommend it. The hotel is a great location it's on chaweng beach,everything is within walking distance. This hotel is great if you want luxury and don't mind paying a bit more for it.The rooms are very clean and staff were really friendly,the food was very good.Breakfast is served up till 2pm which was great!
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A great resort that really capped off...
A great resort that really capped off our honeymoon perfectly. The room was gorgeous and well equipped with everything we needed. The champagne and fruit basket on arrival was also a lovely touch! The staff treated us like royalty at all times, I couldn't ask for more. A great resort for honeymooners or those simply looking for a place to relax and unwind.

Very good.The room was so clean,its size was big for my wife and me.We enjoyed our honeymoon in Dara Samui.The staffs were too warm and kind to give us flower decoration,sparkling wine,fruits basket and welcome drink.(there're some choices of cocktails at pool bar).Our room was located on 3rd floor,every morning I could look at some gardens(and few pieces of Chaweng beach),hear birds' whispering.So I could have pleasant mornings in the balcony.
I was satisfied with their facilities,too.The pool was beautiful and enjoyable,sun decks were clean and convenient.There were two or three restaurants in the resort.Their breakfast and dinner were nice to me.I want to stay again,If possible.

1) the water pressure is weak for the shower and the water temperature is not stable, you may burn your face or freeze your hair every few seconds, but they have no room to change for you, and will send a engineer who do not understand english to discuss with you and try to fix the problem with you.
2) breakfast is not buffet type, every guest can order 1 of their 4 choices every morning till 2:00pm, however, the choices are rare and no good food, we have been to thailand many times, its my first time to experience such poor breakfast.
3)swimming pool, whenever there are people booking the pool side resturant, guests are only allowed to swim in the pool till 8:00pm.
4)staff, if you ask the beach towel in the morning for the Koh Tao trip, they will educate you to tell them to prepare such beach towel 1 day in advance, and the towel will pass to your hand till you agree with them.
But the parking staff is nice and helpful.
besides, when you want to buy the drink in the pool side, you have to wait their female staffs to finish their chatting before serve your request.
5)beach, the water is shallow and cannot swim , the big rock wall is just block the sea..
6)bed, not soft enough compare to the renassiance hotel
conclusion, suggest you to stay in "the libary" if you have to stay in the main beach, higher price is worth as I have been there for lunch, everything is excellent

I stayed there in July 2008. The hotel is located in Chewang beach which is easily accessible to restaurants & main road. Hotel staffs are young, polite, helpful & nice. Unlike other Thailand hotels, it provides free toothbrush & clean towels. Free internet connection (if you've own laptop) & parking lot. No worries, there're laundry & internet cafes next to the hotel. For meals, lots of breakfast choices in poolside restaurant.

The service at this hotel was amazing! We stayed in a Deluxe Suite for our wedding which was occurring on Samui and had other family members staying in the standard rooms. The first night the staff had put champagne and rose pedals throughout our room (on the house). During our stay my birthday also occurred and on my birthday night a cake was waiting in our room for us. They must have looked at my passport to know because we never said anything. The staff was also very helpful and friendly offering the best service I have ever seen at a hotel.
The only downside is that there is no elevator. So if you can't climb stairs make sure to request a room on the first floor.
I highly recommend this hotel.
