Affordable and all that you need
I had a very warm welcome when i checked in at 11pm, and was walked to my room which happened to be the furthest away, but i was happy with the privacy and quietness.
The room was very clean and made up nicely each day. The air con was great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Internet worked well and was high speed, even in my room far from the lobby. The buffet breakfast is good value for about $6AUD, can't complain really! I didn't include it when i booked my accommodation, knowing i may want to try other places for breakfast. I think it's the same price (200baht) whether you book it in advance or walk-in(what i did). I was glad I made that choice to not book it with accommodation because I did like to try other places and even a blended fruit and ice shake on the beach filled me up for breakfast for only 60baht ($2). That's my tip.
Overall a great experience, I felt safe as a female single traveller, and would go back again.

Happy camper right here
Excellent value for money and right where I needed to be. it is, however an odd set up... most hotels are built around the pool, with the pool as the feature where as this was one building at the front, then the pool, then a second building. there are no elevators only stairs and ramp, which did not bother me because i got some useful exercise going up two flights of stairs a handful of times a day (top floor room thanks very much). There was no view to speak of, unless you had one of only 12 apartments that directly overlooked the pool. Bit of a shame really, since the name of the hotel suggests Poolside... anyway, it didn't phase me too much because it was so humid and hot to be outside unless I was in the pool anyway. the pool was really lovely too. the staff, although friendly did not all speak much english - maybe just one female at the front desk. Brekkie included buffet, which was good (not great). Overall a good experience.

Overall good
We were disappointed as it advertised free wifi and this was not available in the rooms, we had to pay on top to use their computers downstairs, overall the staff were lovely, the price was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Kata Poolside is in a great location to the beach being literally across the road down 1 block and its very clean. Decor is a little dated however the room was extra large, the bed was a tad hard but also extra large but all in all i have no problems recommending the hotel. Top value for money and as a single female traveller felt very secure.

the hotel is good middle class. the rooms are spacious and you get everything you need.
we were lucky to get a nice rooms very close to the pool with a great balcony.
the pool area, however, is very hot since there are no trees at all.

OK hotel
This resort is central with a nice pool area that seemed suitable for families. I had to change rooms because of the strong musty smell (worse than the usual found in many Phuket hotels)...probably caused by the leaking toilet that no-one appeared to acknowledge or attend to. I was moved to the next room but the other toilet was leaking through the wall to that bathroom as well! Second room quite adequate and otherwise clean. Service at this resort was ok but a definite attitude from the receptionist upon my complaint and they also tried to charge for a bottle of water that was missing from the fridge when I checked in....more eye-rolling when I mentioned this. This hotel charges for internet use and it's not particularly reliable - I suggest using free internet available at some of the coffee shops in the area.

I enjoyed the staff they were very helpful and friendly.Tailor very pushy but this is understandable.Room was very big with a balcony, shame it looked out onto a wall.Breakfast was excellent always plenty to eat,staff were always very friendly.
Would stay here again very central to everything in Kata and only a short walk to beach.Pool was nice not much room to lie around about 20 beds but was busy most days.

Great value for money
This motel is in a great location right in the centre of Kata Beach. Was very easy to get to other locations by local bus as a much cheaper option.

we have stayed at the hotel for the thirt time and will do it again, if we will stay at Phuket. It is the best value for money I have found in manny years traveling the world.
