Some like it big
The hotel is huge and overall a bit run down, especially in the lobby. Some of the outdoor area is quite pretty. The rooms are spacious and clean but look and feel old. The floor is plastic and the walls need a coat of paint - or two. Despite it's beautiful pools and perfect setting accross from the beach, overall Graceland lacks character and charm. So does the staff. This is probably understandable considering their work environment. We arrived for a late check-in from the airport and were greeted youth- hostel-style by a group of some twenty-year-old Australians in board shorts and singlets proudly sporting the Australian flag and the Southern cross on various parts of their bodies enjoying a beer in the lobby. In the morning empty beer bottles and McDonalds wrappers showed usl the way to the breakfast room, where we found more of the same, only this time without the appeal of the young.. Instead whole families with big bellies and hairy armpits were digging into the breakfast buffet. If this does not worry you, you will probably enjoy the hotel's big lawn for a game of touch footy or some friendly wrestling at sun set in front of your balcony. Wether this is value for money is difficult to say because everybody is different and also lots of different rates seem to apply. We struggled.

excellent place to stay. staff eager to please. beds were hard to sleep on so we asked for a softer mattress which was done straight away. buffet breakfast lots of variety. a bit of a walk to the street markets. beach opposite nice walk along beach.

The room was pretty old and not very nice. Impossible to close the door without a bang. I would give it a 3 star although it has all the facilities of a 4 star. It simply looks overrated and "old". Personnel not so nice either. Maybe I'm too picky, but I preferred by far the Novotel which is close by. I will not go back to Graceland.

We stayed at Graceland and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well located and overall the hotel had a lot of facilities.
Breakfast was awesome!
Staff were friendly and nice. We were allowed a late check out!
I would really recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Having read very mixed reviews of this...
Having read very mixed reviews of this hotel we chose to stay at the Graceland purely because we had friends staying there. Our friends booked quite a cheap package deal but we did not book early enough to take advantage of this.
The hotel is very large and impersonal and feels a bit like a hospital (low ceilings, dolphin tiled hallways, rooms quite dark and a little outdated).
Use of facilities such as snooker tables and the bowling alley (good for families) is not included in the room price.
The hotel does have two nice pools and the food at the restaurant was quite good.
However, compared to other places we stayed during our time in Thailand (including other hotels in Phuket), the Graceland was expensive and overrated. We plan to return to Phuket but will not be staying at this hotel again.

when you come to the pool at 8.30 you hardly find a bed, because all are blocked by personal belongings.
the management should forbid this.
