| "Not worth the money at half the price. Our first room (ground floor) was so thick with mold we had to move to the third floor. On the second day our door lock broke and we had to move to another room. In the third room the shower faucet came off in my hand. The towels were stained and thread-bare. I'm sure it was a lovely hotel many years ago but it is way past it's prime and certainly very over-priced. The staff was very friendly and did their best to help but conversation was difficult as their English is not very fluent.
On the positive side, the breakfast was quite good. " |

| "Nice hotel, nice location, even if it is not directly at the centre, but near Shwedagon Pagoda.
Room Lake View Groundfloor is really nice, but bathroom very small and only with bathtube.
During our stay they had problems with hot water. " |

| "Our room had a serene view of the Kandawgyi Lake. Other rooms have views of Shwedagon Paya. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the public areas are stunning. The only drawback is the location: it is not within walking distance to small stores and only a few restaurants are nearby. Otherwise this hotel is peaceful oasis in a busy city. " |

| "The only hotel by the lake. Nikko & Sedona - you had to cross roadLovely room, with separate bath & shower, that overlooks the Royal Lake. Lovely sunrises each morning. With views of locals doing their exercises. Even had a squirrel visit. Food was of good quality. Just a 30 minute walk to the Scott Market down a quiet street. Just 5-10 minutes walk away from Shwe Pagoda." |

| "The hotel is in a perfect and quiet setting surrounded by tropical gardens and overlooking the Royal Lake with stunning views. All the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. A good breakfast buffet was on offer. We only ate in the coffee shop but we found the food to be quite acceptable and reasonably priced for a hotel of this class. The only downside to our 5 night stay was that from the second day the hotel hot water system broke down leaving us with only cold water for the remaining 4 days! We felt it rather amiss of the management not to offer anything in the way of compensation for this lack of facility. Despite this, we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel which would have been perfect had the hot water system been working. " |

| "Very nice location, especially relaxing environment in case you are not interested in a sity hotel with parties going on. Food in restaurant (not breakfast) could be slightly more fresh, was okay but there is room for improvement to make it more authentic." |

| "While we were only at the hotel for two nights, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We have two young children and both have said that they'd like to stay there again." |
