| "Very easy to find (first time to Auckland and self drive from airport). Located at the city center. Near ferry terminal, bus and train stations and also the airport-city-airport bus stop. Walking distance to almost all city attractions." |

| "No way is this a 4 star luxury hotel as advertised. Bedrooms were spacious and beds ok but rooms were very tatty and worn. I stayed at a 3 star hotel in Tokyo that was 6 star compared to this! It is on waterfront which is probably its best feature but could do a lot better for the money this cost." |

| "We visited Auckland in april and the location of the hotel suited us right on the quay front. The room was comfortable and clean and a "standard size". The hotel was having a coat of paint inside BUT it needs a bit more than that. It look very dated and the landing corridors (we were on floor 5)were shabby with heating/water pipes along the ceiling. Not very good for a professional hotel chain. Maybe wouldn"t stay there again ??? even though good location.

| "Upon arriving in Auckland from US at 5 a.m. Hotel allowed us to check in early morning without charging extra. We welcomed a comfortable bed after a 13 hour flight with little sleep on board. Very pleasant and helpful staff. A very good value. Carol King" |

| "The hotel is conveniently placed for shops and restaurants and has reasonable views over the harbour.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are basic but adequate and very clean.
My wife and I stayed there in early March and the hotel was very quiet as were the streets near to the hotel." |

| "The hotel's location was good.
The overall hotel was old and worn out, paint peeling
from the wall, the headboards were not straight. The
doors of the closets and the dressers were not even
lined up nicely. It's just a rickety old hotel that needs not only a paint job, but also new furnitures. There were two mattresses in our room, both were too soft and too worn out. As soon as we entered the room
right away the concave of these mattresses caught my attention. I requested another room and the beds were the same. We will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price that we paid, we could have gotten a lot better." |

| "The location is great for the ferries and car parking very good BUT the catering facilities are very poor. In the evening of the first night we went to the restaurant and discovered that they had no steak or venison available so we walked out and went to the quay to eat. Breakfast was even worse. A large tour party totally overwhelmed the staff and facilities. There were not enough tables, the food kept running out and was not replaced quickly enough and it was chaotic.
We expected far better at a hotel of this standard and will not be returning. Are they they trying to downgrade it?" |

| "In an otherwise clean and well appointed room, we were surprised to see an armchair in which the fabric was worn and the springs loose, but found no other cause for dissatisfaction.
All rooms have a view of the harbourside and beyond, and the hotel is very convenient for ferries, harbour tours, the maritime museum, a great many restaurants, and is but a short walk from the main shopping streets.
A downside for light sleepers is the late-night (2-3 am) noise created by people leaving the restaurants and bars, and by drivers impatient with the taxis queuing and blocking traffic outside the hotel." |
