| "We enjoyed our stay. Good central location. Very clean room. Nice breakfast, and good atmosphere. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Particuarly the room maid. We would use this hotel again." |

| "Overall, I liked the hotel... the reception staff were friendly and helpful, the concierge service excellent and the room service very efficient, however it was very disruptive to be woken up by an unscheduled 0523 a.m. wake-up call on the morning of an important examination... please take more care with programming these calls to avoid disturbing in-house guests unnecessarily.
For that reason, I don't know if I could recommend this hotel to future exam candidates since uninterrupted sleep cycles are an essential part of exam preparation.

| "The facilities were fine. Except that the wheelchair we requested was not in good working condition. One arm was missing an arm rest. And the tires were flat. We had to wheel it more than a few blocks to get the tires filled and were caught in a downpour. The chair should have been in tip-top condition or they should have taken it to get the tires filled. This was needed after a fire alarm caused us to use the stairs from the 5th floor. Our party was in need of the chair after we had to walk the 5 floors due to the fact she had foot and leg problems that were exasperated by the said walk.
Surely, a hotel that claims to be 5 star should have had a decent chair.

| "The hotel is centrally located and thats about the only good thing that I can say. The hotel is currently undergoing major construction works which meant that most room windows were tottaly blocked off and there was constant construction noise from 8am to 4pm and due to the construction some of the hotel facilities were not available. We were not made aware of this when we booked. It's a good thing we were only there for one night." |

| "On arrival, receptionn was very busy and we were not greeted particulary well. Furthermore, the booking request form had been filed but no room had been reserved.
Apart from that, the room, service and food were very good.
On the second visit, we were given a room on the Executive floor. The Stamford Plaza Hotel would be scored as full marks for this second visit." |

| "I thought that the Stamford was a very nice hotel. All the facilities were clean and worked. So you paid nearly NZ$6 (just over ?2) a night to use the safe but I have been charged more elsewhere and it is not compulsory. Separate bathroom and toilet were good. Bath robes were heavenly.Good selection of TV channels although it would have been nice to have BBC World. Excellent position near the waterfront. Had the lamb one evening in the restaurant which was to die for.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone." |
