Great room at the Mercure, the complimentary upgrade to a lake view room really helped! The view was absolutly beautiful! The only problem was the restaurant in the hotel was terrible and overpriced, I would recommend to eat out in the town rather tahn experiencing the restaurant.

"The rooms at this hotel have a wonderful panoramic view of the lake and the Remarkables. The room was spacious and inviting. The staff were helpful and informative. We would stay here again without hesitation."

"location was perfect just 1-2 minute drive into centre town. The room l booked wasn't correct but l still enjoyed my stay. The faclities in the hotel were very good as you could booked most if not all your activities through the hotel and the shuttle bus even came to the hotel which was a bonus. Housekeeping was done every day, commnication could of being better from the service desk but overall the experience at Mercure Resort was excellent and would recommend this place to anyone. definity 4-5 star resort "

"the hotel itself was great, it was beautiful, with fantastic scenery, over looking mountains etc, with an amazing log fire at reception. The facilities of the hotel were great, with a sauna, swimming pool, tennis courts etc. The room size was great too. The only flaw was that the hotel is out of town, up a massive hill (not suitable to frequently walk up/down into town), with this the hotel does not offer a shuttle into town. There is however a "shoppers bus" that comes every hour, and costs $4.50 rtn to twon and $6.50 to the airport. A taxi into town is around $40. But other than that it is perfect!"

"Strangest hotel layout I've ever seen. There's a dorm-like atmosphere as one walks from small lobby and passes laundry room on way to elevator. However, the lake view from my room was stunning. Room was also spacious & clean. Staff was energetic & friendly. Location was far from town but a shuttle bus, non-complimentary but cheap, stops at hotels in area & takes guests into town center. Bus doesn't run late, unfortunately, in a town full of late night bars. Fine for a one-night stay before my morning flight. Much better than a motel."
