| "Where to start! It was really great to be back at Daves strwa hat inn,the welcome we received made us feel like we had come home. The room was very comfortable spacious, with a nice shower with plenty of hot and cold water. The grounds have beautiful flora and forna and are well maintained really nice to relax. Dave and Janet have a great warm and friendly personality which is the reason i chose to stay at the strawhat inn. With wonderful staff who again are warm friendly always have a smile this has to be the best place to stay in Boracay!
Thank you for all your kindness and help you gave to us we really appreciated it.

"What a fantastic place to stay" great location if your looking for the quiter part of boracay.
After many exchanges of emails with the owners who i found to be very helpful friendly accommodating and could not do enough to make us feel welcome. We arrived very early about 7am, the staff on duty gave us breakfast even though we had not formaly checked in we were made to feel like part of a family which i found not just at that moment, but during our entire stay! We asked about places of intrest, places to eat Dave was a great help with local knowledge and a true profesional. We had 14 fantastic days at Daves and yes we will be going back! this is not a place to be missed its warm and friendly with good size accommodation and great staff...thank you for all your help dave janet and your team...April 2007. " |

I visited Boracay with my girlfriend during August 2007. It was a low-season and Philippines were hit by 3 typhoons on the month. However during our stay there, we were spared by the weather and had a very pleasant stay in Boracay.
During our planning, Asia Rooms is one of the many websites we visited to look for some very good hotels which we can afford. From here, we came across Dave's Straw Hat Inn and from the reviews we saw, it added to our confidence of booking with Dave's.
On our visit, we were very happy with the services and warmth given by the staffs at Dave's. All of the staffs there truly treat you as part of their family and that's what that makes them stand out for me.
We stayed in a Standard Cottage just right in front of their service desk. It was very clean. They clean up the room every day and will arrange everything nicely for you. There's not a worry about them stealing from you as they are truly nice people.
Besides their warmth, they serve nice meals. Although it took quite some time for them to prepare, the meals are worth waiting for. My personal favourite drink is the Mango Ice Tea which keeps me fresh. Their fried rice is very nice too.
They provide lots of amenities and facilities such as basic toiletries, towels, cable tv, wifi, karaoke, book reading and exchange, sun block and tan lotions, towels for the beach, laundry services and information about activities in Boracay.
The downside of Dave's would be that it requires some walking from Station 3. It is located not far from the beach but you have to go through some narrow pathways which have some renovation work along it.
Because it is located near Station 3, it was rather a distance from Station 2, which happens to be the happening lively place. It would require about 30 minute walk from Dave's to Station 2. Between Station 1 and 2 would be excellent. Unless you are there to unwind and not for any nightlife, then Dave's is te excellent place. Maybe we went during the off peak and there were less people, thus it looks dull near Dave's.
However, I have to emphasize that Dave's provide really good service and the warmth from the staffs just puts my mind off every negative points about Dave's location. It is truly a wonderful place to stay in. I miss the place and all the staffs! I have never ever met such hosts on holiday and they are simply the best!!!" |

| "No words can describe how nice the people here on this hotel...they are very accomodating specially if you request something or ask ideas which are the best they will always give you a smile and a very truthful answer especially the prices if u want to go for boat riding and stuff..i will surely recommend this because friendly people is important if your running a business like this..good job!!
