| "Cebu Pacific Air cancelled my flight and put all of the passengers in this hotel. It is not surprising that a cheap airlines uses a cheap hotel but I was not expecting such a horrible room. The room featured on all of the pamphlets is of the only single suite existing at the hotel. The rest of the rooms are dingy and dimly lit with the lowest wattage cfl bulbs.
The bathroom is cheaply designed and the shower was not hot. The packet of shampoo is some cheap chinese brand that had no english so I didn't trust to use it.
The room has a tiny window which is is partially used by the air conditioner, adding to room's darkness. I felt so claustrophobic in my 2 twin bed room that I was able to change to the hotel's "matrimonial" room which is the only regular room with a single double/queen bed. The room is the same size but it feels bigger because of the single bed versus 2 twin beds.
The only good thing about this hotel is the staff. They deserve to work at a better location and their pleasant attitude is not enough for me to stay there again. I am even upset at the airline for putting me there. If you don't mind staying at a cheap guest hotel in Hong Kong, then you know what to expect here. Otherwise, look elsewhere like perhaps the Appletree." |
