We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights and booked it because it seemed to be a great value. A newly renovated luxury Hotel in a great Garden setting.
Well, the hotel was newly renovated, in fact they are still working on a Tennis court and some other extra facilities. However it was very obvious that the hotel has issues with humidity - the hallway ceilings had water build up in some areas, our room had noticeable water stains on the wallpaper. My main complaint is that the windows for the rooms are not blocking outside noise very well. This should normally not be a big issue but for 2 nigths there was loud danceclub noise right next to the hotel we could not only hear but also feel the beat. We called the hotel staff twice and they first didnt seem to be aware of it and then at 4 am said it was some kind of fiesta and they would take care of it - however notihng happened. The music stoped at 6am both times and we 2 nights with very little sleep.
The location also didn't seem very good. The hotel has a great view over the city but I walked around to explore the "gardens" and was surprized to see that they were in extremely bad shape. There were remains of something that looked like a golf couse, ruins of some sort of club house, and some other apartment buildings which looked like they were going to be torn down. I think the term "lush garden" should be removed from the hotel description.
Also the general area seems unsafe and is far from the tourist attractions.
The food in the restaurant was very good, the Staff very friendly and the Pool area very nice.
I wouldn't stay there again because of the surroundings and the noise experience. In general I think the hotel is good for Business Travelers who need to go to the nearby business district or if you want to stay for a night to enjoy the buffet Dinner.

| "Very good hotel with excellent facilities, excellent warm and friendly staff.
Only disadvantage is the needto have taxi to get to any business venue or shops otherwise location is quiet and good location to relax or conduct business from. " |

| "It was our very first visit to Cebu and the Marco Polo set the tone to a perfect vacation.
The facility, staff, and the food is definitely world class. Mabuhay to the concierge staff for their helpful tips of what to see, where to go.

| "not really worth the money! The pool was great but for the money the hotel and location does not beat either of the waterfront hotels for me! " |

| "Hotel sent an email three times asking for payment when in fact they were provided a copy of the voucher and the reservation number. Very tacky- everything inside the room has a price including an ash tray.First time I've seen a hotel like this. Food is bad." |
