5/5  Posted by MR. SMITH, Colin, United Kingdom in April 2008
"This hotel is beautifully run with excellent restaurants which are not too expensive. All the staff are very helpful and courteous. The facilities are good and cover many items. I would go back again tomorrow."
4/5  Posted by MR. HENOCH, Jens, Singapore in March 2008
"It's a nice hotel in a way that it is with a nice beach, many facilities (but please do note that you have to pay quite a premium to enjoy the facilities), staff are well trained, friendly, helpful and honest, We lost our ipod at the pool area and a staff, Mr Cyril, pick it up and was return to us, so it was really nice. Only thing is that because it is a huge hotels with hundreds of room, so it is not so suitable for 'romantic', many kids and people around all the time, imagine having breakfast 'full house' every morning. Going to the beach where all the seats are fully booked, especially with inconsiderate people who booked the seats with their towels or books early in the morning and they didnt even appear unitl afternoon! So it is very difficult to find seats at the beach.... Lots of kids, so lots of screaming everywhere if you don't mind.... A room next to us with kids screaming, jumping and making lots of noise for hours, because the wall is not thick enough or whatever reasons, we can hear them very clear (even could hear them flushing toilets!!!) and couldn't sleep until the kids fall asleep after midnight! Called the front office to complaint three times and request to change room, but they didnt even get back to us!!! So if you stay there, just have to keep your finger crossed and hope for the hotel is running low occupancy......."

"We were invited on arrival to upgrade to "Ocean Club", at a cost. However, that cost included breakfasts, cocktail hour, snacks and soft drinks, etc, and seemed to be worthwhile. Our stay was very enjoyable, and the staff were very helpful and courteous."

"Shangri-La Mactan deserves 6 stars. The most beautiful resort I have been so far. The service is unbeatable. If there is something I'd complain about, it is probably that the resort should offer the shuttle bus to the shopping centre for free."
4/5  Posted by MR. AFZULPURKAR, Aditya, India in January 2008
"Loved the service and the restaurants in Shangrila Mactan. The gym is also very well equipped and there is a marine sanctuary which allows snorkelling at the convenience of your own beach. Having been to other resorts like Hilton and Plantation Bay, I think this is definitely best in class."

"Beautiful and superb hotel with fantastic service and very helpful and courteous staff ... Congratulations and thank you."
4/5  Posted by MR. KO, Ju Hung, Korea in August 2007
"That`s good place. it has many subsidiary facilities. But just in my opinion, that is so expensive about the spa. Anyway, the other things is the best in Philippines."
4/5  Posted by MR. HELLING, Mark, United States in July 2007
"Lower the price for room rate a little"
5/5  Posted by MR. POULSEN, Donald, United States in July 2007
"The most expensive hotel in Cebu, but well worth it. They will pamper you and treat you like royalty. To get the best price apply to Asia Rooms as far in advance as possible. Their program for kids is the best I have found anywhere including cruises. The only downside is that like all the beach resorts on Cebu, they are a long way from an urban area."
3/5  Posted by MRS. CODLING, Doris, Philippines in November 2006
"Shangrila's Mactan Island Resort & Spa Hotel Cebu is an excellent hotel despite of the location which is a bit far from the city, good for relaxation but a bit PRICEY! not practical to spend just for a day. There's no information in the room if there's any complimentary drinks. Anyway, staff and workers are very good."
