"Good location, but to expensive for what it offers. There was no compensation whatever for the works on the upper floor starting every moring by drilling! Even on Sundaymorning!"

"buffet style meals expensive, and apart from the rare roast beef on a sunday, almost invariably overcooked. No safe in room , but reception provides safe deposit boxes.Staff are amenable, and polite. Service is correct rather than warm, and a sense of detachment is unfortunately evident. Attempted to use the 24 hour massage service but could not find anyone in attendance, i was told by reception that they were probably at lunch, so much for 24 hr service!! I checked out early , and before my checkout time i answered a knock on my door to be confronted by a woman demanding to know why i was in her room, i left the Apo View with 4 more days fully paid but they couldnt wait more than i hr before reletting the room before i had checked out!! I checked out well before the normal checkout time! For two days of my occupancy some form of fair was going on in the access corridors i had to pass through to get to my room. Most disconcerting to be bustled and jostled trying to gain access to my room by the only available route, come on guys lift your game , you are not a pension house!! "

"nice hotel in nice location, but very noisy due to connecting doors to next room and extremely noisy plumbing from connecting room,+ the hotel allows 5 or 6 people to share a double room, which was incedible noisy."

"The carpets in the room were stained and dirty and definitely not worth the price for this room. The main reason i stayed there was the boast about there gym facilities which was under renovation when i was there so not available. very disappointed"

Comments:

I arrived at the Apo View Hotel on the 17th December 2008 and presentented my Asiarooms.com voucher to the receptionist. She welcomed me by my personal name and I was so so pleased with Asiarooms.com as they had arranged the booking and confirmation. Excellent and checked straight in to a terrific room which overlooked the swimming pool. This is in downtown Davao City and great location. All the staff were friendly, polite, curteous, and charming. They have a great buffet breakfast which is NOT complimentary and at 800 peso a bit expensive. However, the food is well prepared and great range. Apo view has a great swimming pool, and also outdoor garden which is very very pleasant and well maintained. I thoughly enoyed my stay here for 5 days and loved it. Great hotel and great service and facilities. Would not hesitate to stay here again
