| "Hotel location average. Room size very large (suite) but the bathroom is very small. Door service good, front desk service average to low, housekeeping service low. At this price there are better value hotels in Ermita." |

| "Bathroom had no small face wash cloths or small hand towels, their excuse for this was "people take them". Blinds on windows were so old some would fall at will. Windows on exterior very dirty(appear not to have been washed insome time. Very importantly was the glass on end table and coffee table that had sharp edges, cut my leg 3 times. mentioned this to General Manager, was not corrected. upon arrival, facilities were not explained yet in their questionire they suggest this should be done. Floors were only lightly swept, never wet mopped (so they dirted my socks). One clerk at reception counter was very snooty(atitude of arrogance:named Pang). Other people were great. Would stay again only if my finances were very low." |

| "It was fine. There was some road contruction out front so it was a bit muddy if you wanted to walk. Staff was helpful. The hotel didn't have a map of Manila. It was safe and comfortable, and I received a complementary room upgrade upon arrival. " |

| "When you look on the web site you see different pictures of the hotel specially the area of the reception desk. But when you open the door of your room Oh la! la! what a nigthmare. It's furnished with old furniture and there's no table to put you luggage on and there's no bedside table and the clothes rack was smelling very bad . We have to moved the tv set
on the floor for using that table for our belongings. The bathroom is very small and dark, and forget the swimmng pool it's dirt and the water was a bit greener than normal....The breakfast"à la carte" was correct. But you don't come back at the hotel for a simple breakfast. The best thing to do is to avoid this place " |

| "For value and availability, I'd say this hotel was fine. Because of its location, the value for our stay was not bad. This hotel is lacking in most amenities but tourists who are on a budget should expect this. For more amenities to a hotel, this is not the place. But if a tourist is looking for an affordable, clean and simple (almost rustic) accomodation, then we'd highly recommend this hotel. The staff were all helpful and polite.
Although, the noise level and construction in other rooms need to be worked on as this is the second time my husband has stayed here and it happened to him once again so that he had to move rooms during the remainder of stay.
Also, since this a smaller hotel than others we've stayed at, the cleaning crew do "count" everything in the rooms (right down to the glass being used in the wash rooms). Knowing this, it's not very good PR or customer service to be asked "what happened to the glass". I know that the staff are just saving us a "bill" by letting us know ahead of time, but if the manager can go over the billing process prior to check out then that conversation can be eliminated.
Again, our impression of this is average. At the time of booking, all we had wanted was a clean room with a bed in prime location of the city highlights. " |

| "Our stay at the Orchid was very nice and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great and close to most major streets and a few shopping areas. I will consider staying at this hotel due to the terrific service and staff. The hotel is clean and I felt secured. " |

| "The services, especially in the restaurant is very good ( the food is good too). The room is small and the wood floor close to the bath room is decaying with big holes. The bathroom has bad odor (smells like sewer); they cleaned it several times, but the bad odor stays. Hopefully, the management will take care of the problem." |

| "The standard room that was given to us is small . The deco in the room is poor(bluish wall and black curtain matching the bed sheet - ) . The cabinet drawer is broken, the toilet flush hardly work. The breakfast is good-lot of choices. The service is ok although most of the people at the reception hardly smile. The guards are fantastic-always there to give a helping hand. " |
