"we like the hotel but it was a bit our of town and you need to have alot of taxi to get around, the hotel it was very nice and the food very high stanards but very high price if not book with room but yes i would stay again "

"The service of the hotel needs to be improved, especially the front desk staff handling the check-ins. We requsted twice for a change of room as on the first occasion, me and my partner were given a room with 2 separate beds and then the second time, a room with a single bed smaller than queen size. After which we found out from the bell boy that these 2 rooms have not been refurbished yet. Thus, we have to speak to the manager to request for a refurbished room. The whole check-in process was such a hassle and time consuming. Other than this, the view from the hotel was great, overseeing the Manila bay. Nice pool and restuarants. "

"excellent hotel, wonderful service although the newly renovated rooms in the top 3 floors make the older rooms look very old and very much in need of a makeover. The garden and pool area is an absolutejoy to behold. I will certainly return to the hotel "

"Recent refurb carried out has led to big improvements inside the building, although some outlets were still not open at the time of our visit."

"I could say that our overall stay at the hotel was incredible. Of course except for some disatisfaction with room especially the bathroom. It's old and really needs major work. But the service was very very good. The staff are very courteous and friendly. With special mention of the Spiral wait staff, Spa staff and Main entrance security. They really made our stay well worth it. We intend to stay at The Philippine Plaza again on our next trip to the Philippines."

"I really wanted a rest while in town, unfortuately the hotel was under renovation and we were not informed of that in advance, so there was a lot of noise during the day. The staff were very nice, the breakfast buffet was overwhelming and a real treat! Its a bit pricy for our pockets, but we appreciated the discount Asia Rooms provided. Don't think we'd do it again without a sizable discount, but it was a nice memory for my son and I. Our ocean view was lovely! "

"We enjoyed our stay at Philippine Plaza. The staff members are extremely courteous and guest oriented. The service is excellent from room service to restaurants service. Everywhere you go in the hotel, the staff are very warm and friendly. The room rate was reasonable and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. There are so many choices of food from different countries. The only thing we did not like about the hotel was that they charge for request for extra slippers. They only provided one pair and there were two of us. Also, the pillows they have were like throw pillows and not the regular pillows that we are accustomed to. When we requested to have the pillows changed, they told us that there will be an extra charged. In two years, my husband and I will go back to visit family and friends again. We are already looking forward to staying at Philippine Plaza. Hopefully the rate will still be reasonable since they are presently renovating to improve the hotel and to become a part of Sofitel."

"overall the place is very nice, but the room is kind of outdated need some remodeling especially the carpet and the bed is not comfortable to sleep on.The buffet is good and the hotel taxi is over charging so dont use them."

"overall, our stay was enjoyable. the breakfast buffet was great... the carpets are old and need updating, bathrooms need updating.. swimming pool needs to be cleaned and updated.... other than that it is still a great hotel though its about 30 yrs. old, i still remember visiting this hotel when it first opened when i was still a student in manila.i highly recommend this hotel for its perfect location, close to the airport and mall of asia. they were renovating the upper floors when we were there so maybe on our next visit it will rival one of the best hotels in singapore and hongkong. the staff were great and the service is excellent. keep up the good work!!!"
