  We Had a very plesant stay.We booked a superior room the only problem was it had no windows which with the amount of time spent in the room was not a problem.The breakfast was excellant and the staff was freindly and efficient.

  About the Hanoi Astoria Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam
  Avoid this hotel even for free.The location was crazy as it was located in Hang Bong Street- very far away from the Old- Quarter. Rooms was dirty and small. Toilet was terrible smelt. Staff were so rude and not helpful. They sold us the train tickets to Hue at triple price...never stay at this hotel.Rip-off!

  About the Splendid Star 2 Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam
  The hotel staff and room were fine. however, the location was very bad as it was close to the hospital and in a very dark, narrow and dirty lane. Rooms did not look like what we saw on Internet. They were clean but very narrow and small. We suspect all the good reviews were written by themselves. No recommend and avoid this hotel.

  We stayed in three Hotels whilst in Vietnam and the Spring Hotel was by far the best. The service and especially the staff were so lovely and friendly we were rather sad when we left. Hello to all the staff

  The Hanoi old quarter is made up of streets upon streets of connected 3-4 storey narrow buildings. Since everything is concentrated together, things can get pretty noisy and congested. But then again, that is where the charm of the place lies. Lots of food, drinks and shopping at your door step. Look elsewhere if peace and tranquility are what you seek. T[...]
