Pensiunea Elisabetin is a brand new three stars pension in Timisoara, built in a special and modern style, with an distinct interior design and an impressive interior garden. The name of the pension is inspired by the old name of the neighbourhood of Timisoara where it is located.This neighbourhood was created in 1716 and was known as the Maierele Vechi , which changes his name into The Elisabetin Neighbourhood in may 1896 , in the honour of the Emperor Elisabeta (Sissi), the wife of The Frantz Iosef I Emperor. In the period between the two World Wars changes his name into Principesa Elisabeta , but in people’s memory remains the Elisabetin. In our days is known as the Negoiu – Stadion zone, beeing also a rezidential neighbourhood, here we can also find the most important superior education institutions in Timisoara: The West University (Universitatea de Vest), University’s Library , The Politechnical Institute( Institutul Politehnic).
