"we went to Singapore to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. the hotel was in a great location as we used the MRT everyday. When we arrived at 5am we were greeted with friendly smiles even though our room wasn't ready and had to go into a twin room but we were tired. By 11am we were moved into our proper room. The breakfast was lovely and staff very helpful. We will stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Thanks"

"We requested for a non-smoking room but the room smelled of cigarette smoke upon our arrival but the housekeeping staff remedied the problem right away.
The food at the buffet table is not refilled fast enough. we have to request before they refill. Dimsum was never refilled.
Location is perfect. Very accessible to MRT and bus.
The staff should smile more often. "

"I stayed in Royal with my wife and 4 young children. All our requests for the rooms we prefer e.g. adjoining, located in non-smoking floor, type of beds in each room were granted. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool after their tours and were comfortable in the rooms. During breakfast, however, as so many people flow in and rush to queue for buffet, cleanliness of the restautant is not maintained. My wife slipped and fell on the floor when she stepped on a pickle. I also noted bits of other food serving dropped on the floor thus compromising safety of guests. Cleanliness and safety of the food area need to be watched constantly. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. "

Comments: This hotel was very disappointing. when we arrived, our room was not ready and we had to have a room with twin bed instead of a king size bed as we had booked. the next day we were able to move rooms but again, it was a room with one single bed and a double bed which was not what was originally booked. Uopn the day of checkout, the service was slow and although there were several personel behind the service desk, only one was serving at the time despite the line checking out being very long.
the hotel was also quite out of the way and i will definitely not stay there again.
