It seems that even after being a high-tech city, Singapore has reached the peak for a stay at one of the best budget hotels named Claremont Hotel, Singapore would aptly justify the above quote. Staying at this hotel situated just opposite Mustafa Centre is like availing an accommodation in luxurious rooms with complete amenities.

The position of Claremont Hotel, Singapore is, however, another key reason behind the travelers' preference for this hotel. It is minutes away from main shopping belts like Orchard Road and Suntec City , business district at Raffles Place and specialty shops like Sim Lim Square. That's why staying here would not only easy for your access to the shopping belt, but also good enough in case of your access to the important tourist attractions of this glorious city of Singapore.

Claremont Hotel, Singapore is recently renovated. Being an upscale classic one, this budget hotel offers you a range of facilities and services tinged with a unique Singaporean hospitality extended by the well behaved professionals. Staying

"When I arrived the receptionist took a long time in getting me a room as it appeared that I was unexpected. The requested single room was not available and they gave me a triple room. The receptionist had this to say - We would not be charging you for the bigger room-duh? The room had peeling wallpaper as a result of water damage. The bathroom was not clean and the bath tub was not cleaned. For the 3 nites stay the room was only cleaned once. On the positive side the hotel is directly opposite Mustaffa and that must be teh only redeeming feature."

"It was a very bad experience. I have been to singapore umpteen times and the service always has been excellent But this time around, the receptionist on duty at 1 pm should be taken to task. She was rude, unprofessional and downright uncouth. Her manner of asking for the Passport should have alerted me. However, it was her insistence that I pay $20 as deposit for the mini bar in the room that cut the cake. On my query as to where this rule was displayed, she failed to show it to me and then threatened not to give me the room unless I pay up. I insisted that all such rules have to be prominently displayed and which the Mgt apparent;y had failed in doing so. The only thing notated was that one will have to pay for anything consumed from the mini bar. As she was insisting that I pay up or else leave, I asked her for a refund .But that too was denied. At this , I told her to get me her supervisor. At first she balked . But then got someone on the phone. I reasoned with the gentleman that no such sign was posted and I was within my rights not to hand that deposit. On checking with the receptioinst and after asking her to read the displayed notice, he had to agree with my interpretation and I finally got the key. I wish this would have ended there. But there was more to come. On reaching my room, I dialled O and the bell rang and rang. (Basically,The phone was ringing at her end and she was not picking up). As I was on the 2nd fool I did not cut off the call and just walked down to the front desk. The 'Queen' was sitting there .the bell was ringing and she was just not picking up. I just told her to get me an iron and did not say anything else. There were some other minor irritants. But the evening Receptioinst was nice and made up for the bad behavior of the earlier one. "

"I found the room and particulalrly the advertising on the net to be very misleading if not completely false. The hotel could not be called recently renovated when the wall paper was falling off the walls and the bathroom had no shower curtain and was very dirty. I am sure this will not be published but you never know...."

"most of the rooms smelled pretty bad of mold/mildew and there was mold on the walls, ceiling, etc. The original room that they gave us had no shower curtain and was really smelly...we had to move. The "cleanest" room, which we stayed in, didn't have a functioning AC unit, but they did bring us a fan for the room."
