stayed at the Allson hotel in october on way back from bangkok. First time. the room was clean, but rather small and the tv was pathaetic. ended up watching not-so-funny Indian soap opera (had no idea what those guys were saying as i am indonesian). the lift can't be smaller. Breakfast was well, ok lah for the price (btw, i booked the hotel on promotion so paid only 87 sgd, so i can't complaint, i guess). The reception was indifferent, but i love the doorman. very chatty, very warm and informative. he even assisted me in getting a cab at 2 a.m. when i suddenly got hungry! that's a service.

| "Excellent location. The room was spacious and the bathroom well fitted out. Proximity to an excellent hawker centre with delicous food was an added bonus. The swimming pool was on the small side." |

| "My stay was short and unpleasant.My flight was delayed ex London by 11 hours and this changed my trip completely.I decided not to stay 2 nights in Singapore since my journey was interupted by the delay.I was very disappointed that the hotel wcharged me for both nights even though I only stayed for 4 hours (8.00am till noon on the first day.) I won't use either The allson hotel nor asia rooms .com without careful thought in the future." |

| "we wanted a hotel near a mrt staion and this was about a 5-10min walk.food hall situated right next door.plenty of shopping nearby.
excellent public transport system. only way to see is by mrt and buses - ie. cheap as well" |
