After reading many reviews, my family and i went to the allson with some trepidation to say the least! i am happy to say that the hotel was lovely. the room was decorated in cherry wood to give it that old chinese style and it was done nicely. deluxe rooms and bathrooms not very big but enough for me, my wife and our 7 month old daughter to stay in for 9 nights. breakfast was very nice, and the staff were very helpful. the location of the hotel is brilliant....10 mins from MRT, 15 min walk to orchard road or suntec city (shopping areas), lots of other shopping areas within 5 or 10 mins walk....walked so much that we ended up saving a lot of money on taxis, money which was wisely spent on more shopping! pool and fitness room a bit small but perfectly adequate and well maintained.... overall, a great hotel for families that won't break the bank and which is in a great location in the heart of lovely singapore....enjoy!
