The Carlton hotel was nothing special. The lobby was nice and the restaurant and bar areas were also acceptable if you didn't want to venture out of the hotel. The food was nothing great, especially for what they charge. Don't be fooled by the entrance to the hotel because we were. We thought we had chosen a pretty nice place to stay until we got up to our room. The rooms are VERY basic and small. You basically have a bed and bathroom and enough room to walk out the door. The beds were so hard that you won't get any sleep and will most likely wake up with a back ache as we did every day. I'd say the only positive about this hotel is it's location. It seemed to be about 20 minutes to anywhere we needed to go and at 90 USD a night I guess we got what we paid for. It served it's purpose for the few nights we were in Singapore but i wouldn't go back.

| "We don't recommend to stay at this hotel during weekend especially if they put you under 15 floor, the reason is the hotel is located at opposite of chimes bars, restaurant and entertainment centre, and the noise they make is unbelieavable loud. When we complain at 01.00 in the morning , we found out that this is not the first time quests complaining about this, but the management argued, they said sometimes it is loud another time not. What ever reason they should not put quest in the room before they replaced the sound proof of the rooms with adequate ones. tks" |

| "the room size is good,location very convenient with nearby metro station and shopping mall,opposite to the hotel,there is this Chijme's food centre for fine dining with good ambience.Reception staffs are friendly and housekeeping staffs are helpful.Overall, I enjoyed my stay here,will recommend friend to stay.do keep up your standard." |

| "This hotel was quite conveniently located near the city hall where you can take radid transit to most of places in Singapore. The room and services were excellent. However, the late night serving in the 24 hour restaurant was a bit slow and foods at the bar were not recommended (just expensive) compared to other bars in Singapore.
Last one the bathtub was clogged and was not fixed to my satisfaction. The shower curtain was smelly so had to be changed." |
