"rooms very small for a triple room that i stayed in; in which i had booked. very expensive for what i obtained! not good value for money"

"On arrival we were given a room quite different to that requested, however, this was pretty quickly remedied and were then generally happy with the Hotel as a whole. The breakfasts were fine with a range of choices, we did have dinner in once and found that to be ok and not too overpriced (some hotels can be very expensive) Biggest problem is the location that requires a taxi ride to anywhere, - but taxis are reasonably cheap anyway. As the hotel seems very spread out we had to walk in the open at some stage to reach our room......thats different! As we had an evening flight we had to pay a half room rate to leave by 7.00pm (thats not the AsiaRooms rate!!) Don't fall for the trap of the hotel car waiting to take you to the airport as this is about three times the cost of a local taxi....a real take. We would probably stay again, but press for what you want not what they may want to give you!! "

"An older hotel, but comfortable enough for a short stay. It is a bit out of town and sometimes you will wait for taxis. Rooms a bit tired but clean."
4/5  Posted by MR. KANE, Mark, United Kingdom in June 2007
"Hotel was very reasonable, room was clean and we had a view overlooking the pool. Breakfast was good, varied, and of a reasonably standard. Just about everything was OK and what you would expect of a hotel at this price level - mid range. The only real downside would be the location as it is not near the MRT. There is a bus stop outside that takes you to the nearset station but due to the dual carriage way location the nearest stop back is a bit of a walk. However, in Singapore the taxi's are very cheap although don't bother trying to find one if it rains! Only other downside was singers in the Bar!"

"Our third time in the hotel, and despite signs of ageing (renovations underway), this is still a very good hotel for this price. The hotel is some distance from the city center, but with the shuttle bus, it is no problem getting into town. We hope we can stay in this hotel again in the future. "

"I reserved a "superior" room because I needed a quiet, relaxing place to sleep. What I got was a room facing a busy street with heavy traffic day and night. The balcony had a single glass door that did nothing to reduce the noise. For this reaason I was very much disappointed with this hotel and would never recommend it to anyone."

"The wing where we stayed was not very good. The bathroom realy need remodel."

"I have stayed many times at this hotel before with no problems. But during this visit with my wife was the worst one. We had put early check in 3month prior to our visit which they never did. Very poor customer service even coming from the GM and staff were poor. Rooms were small and run down and bathroom was poor."

"good hotel to stay in . good bed,s . service to orchid road bij bus . "
3/5  Posted by MRS. WOOD, Marianne, Australia in March 2007
"I was a bit dissappointed to find mould in the tiles in the bathroom. The place is quite old. The walls had cracks in them and the small patio area had dirt marks. The foya and restaurant were quite nice but you don't stay there do you? Staff were good. "
