We stayed nine nights this last April 4-13. Booked through Asiarooms for the first time - turned out effortless and very reassuring, altho initially we had wanted plain deluxe room - we had to avail of premier deluxe -- which turned out to be perfect. We originally had booking for more modern north tower, but when we got to hotel reception gave us room at south tower. I'm sure they would have changed it for us, but my husband already liked the room -which was spectacularly clean, nice view and quiet. We loved the breakfast buffet at AlligatorPear, my 4-yr old son LOVED the two pools which he swam in every morning and afternoon!, all hotel restaurants had good food and good service -Prego, Kopi Tiam, Sechuan Kitchen - price ok also; facilities were top. Service of all hotel staff was superb - from concierge to housekeeping, vallet service, room-service - they were all very accommodating, pleasant, knowledgeable, amiable; excellent housekeeping service - I'm very particular about the bathroom and room being clean. Over-all service was five-star and the price was very ok - you definitely get more for what you pay for. We've stayed at Meritus Mandarin, Grand Hyatt, Royal PLaza on Scotts - on most of our trips to Singapore -they most definitely pale in comparison to Raffles the Plaza in all aspects - facilities, service, value-for-money. Location is also fabulous for shopping! - connected to Raffles City mall, a block away from Suntec and Marina Sq , close to Funan IT mall, Adelphi, Raffles and other malls. Also, MRT is right below hotel, as well as the underground shops. Vacation was perfect! It was a nice change from being on Orchard, location perfect for shopping with my young son, who enjoyed all the malls close by and the swim break in-between shoping expeditions. Above all, we enjoyed the marvelous service!

| "The staff were very professional, polite and very helpful.
Breakfast on Pool level 8 was not pleasant. Food and tea/coffee was cold and not the same variety as 2nd floor. 2nd floor breakfast was perfect.
Rooms were not very private. You could easily hear people talking in their rooms when you walk past and the same with people walking past your room. I think this maybe due to the big gap under the doors of the rooms.
Good location with access to most of the local shopping centres. " |

| "The hotel is too expensive for the quality of rooms . The room was very basic, the fittings very average , the bathroom was inadequate, one has to shower in the bathtub(no separate shower) I stayed in the Sydney westin hotel , for 300 dollars I got a superb room with a fantastic bathroom. This was a very average or below average hotel. The concierge was not helpful in restaurant suggestions, not interested in making dinner bookings.
I will not stay here again.
This hotel room is woth about 200 dollars a night.
In general , good hotels in Singapore appear to be very expensive. Next time I think I will travel via Malaysia or Bangkok , which are better value for money destinations. Fellow travellers take note , Singapore is not good value for money any more. " |

Clean ,Frendly ,Great location and overal a great place to stay from the doorman to the cleaners everyone done there best to ensure we had a great stay. If it was any more clean it would smell like a hospital. But will we be back - For sure" |

| "We booked a deluxe room and were surprised at how big the rooms were. The bathroom was lovely except for the tap which tends to splatter around the sink area. Breakfast by the poolside was very good. The location is excellent as the hotel is located atop the City Hall MRT station. There is also a supermarket below which is very convenient for last minute purchases. I would definitely consider staying at Fairmont on our next visit to Singapore." |
